Disney villains meet classic heroes at this high fantasy wedding
I have worked in the wedding industry for five years now and when my partner and I decided to get married I didn’t want anything “Wedding” — so what did we do? We had a Heroes and Villains themed wedding! It was a wedding filled with love and little bits from friends and family. We danced the night away and played games at every table. And in not-so-true villain fashion, I got the girl in the end!

Jules and Katie got married in the urban district of Digibeth in Central Birmingham, England, and wanted to feature some of the amazing mural art that lives there. For the theme, it was all rainbows meets Alice in Wonderland with the most adorable little designs of themselves as the Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts. They were included on the cake toppers, biscuits, placecards, and more. It was ADORABLE. J

Piñatas, tacos, & cascarones at this Mexican-inspired DIY wedding in Chicago
Steph and David wanted their wedding guests to feel like they were attending a party in their home. Steph made a piñata for the card box, cascarones (Mexican confetti bombs!) to throw after the ceremony, and a ton of fun table decor. Don’t miss the taco bar, pies and paletas for dessert, some serious dancing and video games, and, of course, piñatas. Steph and David had custom piñatas made to represent them: a cat for Steph and a dinosaur for David. Almost too cute to break!

Jewel-toned geekery invades Cloud City at this wedding with a Darth Vader officiant
Nicolette and Beau dubbed their wedding theme as “broad spectrum geekery with jewel tones.” Darth Vader officiated, and lightsabers twirled during the dancing. Margaret and Eric’s Jersey City wedding was ultra laid-back, super fun, and set in a vividly colorful and hip venue, South House. There were games, shots, epic dances, a rustic (and huge!) naked cake, and some of the most gorgeous mural shots ever.
