I'm starting to think that wedding invitations inspired by favorite books are becoming a very fast favorite for me. I have to confess, I got a little teary-eyed over Andrew and Jackie's Giving Tree wedding invitations, made by Kim from NMI Creations. (Did you pick up on the special wording of "share" and "give" like for The Giving Tree? Subtle, eh?)

Our Bookish theme week brings us this Indiana wedding with a librarian's touch: cupcakes on children's classics, "Just Married" Scrabble tiles, and library card invites. But a highlight of the day was definitely when their dog, Puppers, stood as fourth bridesmaid. Fur babies FTW!

This week we're paying homage to the academics, the bookworms, the card-carrying library loiterers, and the literati among our readers. So in addition to our usual round-up of reader submissions via Flickr and Pinterest, we're showcasing some bookish wedding details including decor made from book pages, bookish cake toppers, table numbers from vintage books, and even a Scrabble cake!

The bride works in education, and with library card menus, "brown bag lunch" favors, school lockers, a big yellow school bus, and a yearbook guest book, this wedding was a perfect fit for our Bookish theme week. Plus, they took an unwanted extra wall in their reception area and turned it into a giant chalkboard for amazing chalk art! You will love this school yard-meets-marriage wedding.
