Location & date of wedding: Palm Island, Savannas Recreation Area, Ft Pierce, Florida — August 29th, 2009

What made our wedding offbeat: We had a Pagan handfasting during our own weekend camping festival. The groom wore a kilt, we both had foxtails and the groomsmen (aka. torchbearers) wore sarongs and carried symbols of a nature element. The only one that wore a tux was the dog that carried our rings inside a mini Chinese food takeout box hanging from its collar. And I carried a bouquet made out of swarovsky crystals.

Location & date of wedding: Centennial Hall Convention Center in Juneau, Alaska — August 23, 2008

What made our wedding offbeat: We took advantage of the whole 'once-in-a-lifetime' bit and made an event that was truly memorable for us and all of our friends and family. We decided that our budget wasn't going to get in the way, so most of our decorations were hand-made to save money. We did splurge with food and an open bar, and friends helped us cut costs by volunteering to make cakes, DJ, and take photos. Sophie's dad officiated the wedding.

Location & date of wedding: Mom and Dad's yard in Coatesville, PA on September 13th, 2008

What made our wedding offbeat: I did almost everything on my own with the help of some very special people. I catered a vegetarian feast for 150 people, made all of the flower arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, guestbook, decorations, bar, signature drinks, music playlists, favors, programs, etc. etc.
