Tamara and Sam’s theme is seriously one of our favorites: “rock ‘n’ Poe” — all things Edgar Allen Poe meets rock ‘n’ roll. They DIYed a lot of the goth details, and dinner was a breakfast bar. Between the fabulous black gown (which was actually billed as a “mother of the bride dress” — wut), the killer groom outfit and epic beard, and the black and white lace cake, we love this wedding with a love that’s more than a love. Okay, no more Poe quotes, I promise.
A budtender kept the weed favors legit at this Portland “weeding”
Whitney and John’s Christmas tree farm wedding in Portland started out with golf carts, popcorn, and champagne and a sweet outdoor ceremony. It was followed by an amazing family-style dinner in the woods. One interesting tidbit was that it was the first “wedding” in Portland of its kind. They had a weed bar complete with “budtender”! While this isn’t for everyone’s wedding (hell, it’s not even legal in most states!), having a budtender to keep things legal and controlled can be your ticket to an awesome and legal weed bar at your wedding. A “10 years on fire” non-wedding in Madrid (with fire dancers!)
Maria and Sito wanted to celebrate 10 years of dating with an unofficial non-wedding rite with all their loved ones in Madrid, Spain. They didn’t want any official protocol, so they decided on a “ten years on fire” theme. This meant, of course, fire dancers, fire rituals, and a focus on reuse of materials for the decor. DIY was the order of the day! Let’s relish in their joy.
