This BBQ wedding featured a "first rib"

These two totally embraced some awesome faves from Offbeat Bride: muglies, one of our favorite dress designers, Converse, hand-knitted shawls, and handmade handfasting cords. They took some advice to take a breather during the ceremony and totally rocked the venue selection (hello, gorgeous!).

Jillian & Martin's BBQ & craft beer garden wedding

Craft beer and barbecue. A chic venue and a giant shark balloon. Bubble guns and dancing socks. These are a few of my favorite things. And they are all in this Los Angeles wedding, in addition to a sweet story about the bride's ring and a cool alternative to a champagne toast!

EJ & Nathan's horror movies and octopodes beach wedding

Let me just lay this right here: a tentacle aisle, tentacle bouquets, a pineapple print dress, fold-out fan programs, horror movie centerpieces, and a flesh-eating martian owlopus. You read that right. Oh, and some sage advice meant for a pre-teen that totally applies to all of us. Let us know if you spot the MINGLO, too!

Jamie & Jon's three-day summer camp wedding

Let's reminisce about being a kid with this summer camp wedding complete with crayons, popcorn favors, a "Hershey's Kiss girl" instead of a flower girl, a camp out with a fire juggler, and an AMAZING pink ruffled corset gown (you may remember from here). Plus, get a load of the adorable matchy-match father and son kilts! My heart… I swoon! All that plus the sweetest groom-gets-teary first look ever.

Asha & Jay's family game day BBQ 'n' beer wedding

Lots of kids + lots of games + lots of time to run around = lots of fun. That's the theory of this wedding and it TOTALLY worked. Add in the gorgeous venue, two different ceremonies, and lots of DIY, and this community-oriented wedding wins the day. Even though the guest list spiked by 75, these two pulled it together with the generosity of friends (and even a fellow Tribesmaid!).
