Full steam ahead for this fabulous taco truck wedding #Real Weddings: Southern US#blue hair#georgia#jewish#plus size#red hair#tattooed bride October 18 | Offbeat Editors offbeatbride Photos by: Twin Hearts Photography Photos by Twin Hearts Photography Offbeat partner: Kaitlyn, Cafe Manager Offbeat partner: Danny, IT Support Date and location of wedding: The Engine Room, Monroe, GA — September 9, 2017 Our offbeat wedding at a glance: I was a tattoed bride with fuchsia and purple hair. We had a Jewish ceremony, and I'm a HUGE Atlanta United fan, hence the Full Steam Ahead scarf photo. We had a taco truck at the reception, which was really fun. Tell us about the ceremony: We had a first look before the ceremony, where we chose to read our personal vows to each other in private. We also included a couple of small Jewish traditions during the ceremony. Danny broke the glass and everyone yelled "Mazel Tov!" Tell us about your reception: We ate Tex's Tacos, which is Atlanta's number one food truck this year. It was delicious! Hollon Yarborough from Amp'd Entertainment was our DJ. He does remixed weddings, so we gave him our tastes ranging from Radiohead to Astronautalis and anywhere in between, and he mixed them on the dance floor. It was a HUGE hit. We met him at the Lovesick Expo and immediately fell in love with his non-traditional vibe. Funny moment: When the groomsmen came out for photos, my almost brother-in-law came out in tennis shoes. When I saw this, I yelled out "Nice Shoes, Jesse!" All of the groomsmen froze. Danny told me that apparently his shoes were missing and Jesse stepped up to the plate and let Danny use his for the time being. Another pair of shoes appeared in time for the ceremony. What was your most important lesson learned? The most important thing is to have fun. I know it sounds cliche… but, honestly, that's the only thing that mattered to us. That and marrying the person you adore, of course! Delicious tacos don't hurt either.
