Gorgeous shotgun wedding invitation #Features#australia#birds#custom invitations#diy invitations#invitations#pregnant bride#sydney January 20 | Megan Finley Horowitz meggyfin I have to send a great big 'ol shout-out to OBB reader Nancy for ushering us in the direction of a super (and may I even add "duper?") custom wedding invitation by Anna Rummey who shows us all a thing or two about how to make an awesome wedding invitation when you're "visibly up the duff"… From Anna's blog: I drew the birds months ago when I was at my folks, just after we arrived back from London. I had no idea that I was pregnant at the time or about to get married. The invite was a bit cheeky but didn't cause too much of a stir, although I'm pretty sure my dad wrote something completely different when he translated it for our relatives in Poland… And here's her equally incredible "Order of Service" creation to match the invitations. Fresh and original, and it has the charm of a children's book with the total candor of art. Love love love. Reply so cute and sweet – and honest Reply this is gorgeous! not to mention I LOVE how cheeky and blunt (but still cute) it is! Gold star 🙂 Reply It's not really my style *shrugs* I love the artwork (absolutely gorgeous!), but it just seems unnecessary to put in the invite "heads up, I'm gonna be pregnant when I walk down the aisle. Before you nudge each other and ask if I am." I guess I feel it comes across as almost apologetic to guests, which I don't feel anyone should have to be. Reply Fantastic illustration!! Reply It's a very cool invitation card and it was on my first anniversery =) Reply Join the conversation Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
