A rainy Lake Tahoe wedding with a rescued pit bull #Wedding Porn#california#floral print#lake#multi-colored dress#outdoor#print dress#rainy#wedding dogs March 18 | Chris Wolfgang mswolfgang Photos by: MORNINGWILD Photography Photos by MORNINGWILD Photography Rainy day weddings are my favorite, and I just love to see couples get enthusiastic about tromping around outside in the wet for photos. Lisa and Menotti had to scramble to make their outdoor wedding happen near Lake Tahoe last September. Their original venue fell through with less than a week to go before the ceremony! They still managed to say their vows outside despite the threat of rain, saving the fun, rainy photos for later. I'm really digging the come-what-may, we're-in-this-together vibe of this wedding. Their friends surprised them by helping set up the night before (when Lisa and Menotti thought they'd be doing it all on their own!), and the couple helped each other get ready the morning of the ceremony. And I can't leave out Primo, Lisa and Menotti's rescued pit bull. He looks ready to help with anything — maybe relieve some wedding-day stress with cuddles? Stunning. 1 agrees Reply I was wondering the venues because we are looking around Lake Tahoe too. Thanks! 1 agrees Reply Hey Rebecca! Their ceremony was at Regan Beach and their reception was a rental house close to the ski resort in S. Lake Tahoe. Hope that helps! 🙂 Reply Love the fact they included their beautiful dog! <3 x Reply the napkins! where did uou get them with the precious pups face printed on them!!? Reply Hey Lauren! They hand stamped them! I can't remember the artist that originally did the portrait of their dog, but I can ask Lisa if you want 🙂 Reply Hey Lauren! You can get custom stamps made on Etsy from almost any image. I bought the plain napkins there too. The image we used was just taken with an iphone. And lots of dog treats. Dog + tuxedo is magic no matter how you make it happen 🙂 Reply I clicked for the dog but I stayed for that dress! 2 agree Reply I love the pictures of them getting ready together. That's what I want to do! Any more details on what they did in their ceremony? I love that they got to sit down! And then said their vows by themselves (no officiant). 2 agree Reply Hey Sarah! We scripted our own ceremony and had a great Aunt officiate using really helpful articles from this site. She gave some opening remarks, we had a few other family members do readings, both sets of parents came up to say something (in lieu of speeches at dinner), "I do" "me too" and we were done. Sitting was a last minute idea when we had to re book our entire ceremony three days before the wedding. We had to get all new rentals, and they were kind enough to open up their whole warehouse to us to grab whatever was available. So glad we threw the couch in at the last minute. Reply Lisa – I love your dress! How'd you go about getting it made? I want to do something similar – having a casual summer wedding.
