Where do text ads appear?
Text ads rotate three to a slot in the sidebar of every single page (all 50,000+ of them!) of Offbeat Bride's social network at Offbeat Bride Tribe, which is linked from the "Tribe" tab of all Offbeat Bride pages. Since it's a private social network, only the homepage is viewable to non-members. Text ads average 5,000 impressions a day.
Where do banner ads appear?
Banner ads rotate two to a slot in the right sidebar on all Offbeat Bride pages, excluding our Offbeat Vendors guide or Offbeat Bride Tribe pages. Banner ads on the main blog average 30,000 impressions a day, while the Tribe banner gets around 5,000 impressions a day.
Can text and banner ads use a direct link?
No. Only advertorials and vendor listings feature direct links.
What do you mean when you say your ads "rotate"?
This is by far the most frequent confusion from our advertisers. "Rotating" means that there two or three ads that cycle through each ad slot. Each time a reader loads page, the ads will be shuffled through the slots — sometimes near the top, and sometimes near the bottom. Since there are multiple ads rotating in each slot, this means that you may not see your ad the first time you load a page. Reload the page, and you'll see that the ads shuffle.
Can you change the ad text or banner image part-way through my campaign?
Yes. Once your ad is live, you'll receive a weekly email with a link to your Advertising Dashboard, which includes both your ad's performance (impressions, click-throughs, etc) as well as a link to update your banner image.
Can I track how my ad is performing?
Yes. You'll receive a link to your statistics via email when your ad is first paid for, and then again each week that it's running. These click-through statistics are available to you so you can track how your ad is performing. Here's an example of how the ad stats look:
