Love triumphs over stormy weather and a reception blackout #Real Weddings: Northeast US#beer#bride in pants#brides in glasses#clutches#diy bouquet#diy centerpiece#lesbian weddings#LGBTQ#pennsylvania#place cards#rainy#short dress#short hair October 3 | Catherine Clark bijouxandbits Photos by: Brae Howard Photography Leah and Heather were married on June 7th at Triumph Brewing Company in New Hope, PA, where the pair had one of their first dates and countless date nights after. Leah designed the place cards, table numbers, her bouquet, Heather's boutonniere, and the CD favors. But the silver lining moment came when the intense stormy weather caused a blackout at the reception! Candles were brought out, almost everyone stuck it out and finished dinner, and the candlelight made everything intimate and lovely. Potential tragedy turned awesome ambiance! Brae is a brilliant photographer and captured the day beautifully. It was certainly a night to remember! Need to give credit to LoveVsDesign for the placecard design-I didn't design those (woops!) http://www.lovevsdesign.com/printables/all/ticket-place-card-folded Thanks again! 2 agree Reply That dress! Who/What/Where? It's hard to find short wedding dresses that don't look like something you wear to bed or a club. Love it! 1 agrees Reply Jacie- Urban Outfitters on sale! I'm with ya on the dress situation-it was so hard to find anything that wasn't cupcakey or slutty or both (somehow-how does that even happen?) Anyway, here's the link: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=25968884&parentid=SALE_W_DRESSES Reply Omg thanks for sharing the dress info! That is truly beautiful. And you know what they say about rain on your wedding day. It's like good luck or something. A blackout probably is ever better. My friend got married during the big Nashville flood a few years ago and had to relocate to a veterans center. Long happy marriages ahead! 1 agrees Reply So cute! I love Triumph. 1 agrees Reply I always wondered how Triumph sets up for weddings! We go there at least once a month for dinner/drinks. Super cute and I'm glad a blackout didn't put a damper on it for you guys. 😀 2 agree Reply Freaking most adorable couple. Gorgeous photos. Congratulations!! 1 agrees Reply Oh neat! I love seeing weddings that are somewhat local to me (i.e. Philly-area) but it's even cooler to see one that is practically from my own backyard! I live very close to New Hope and Triumph is a great place for food/drink! 😀 Gorgeous photos and what a lovely wedding! 1 agrees Reply Me too! I love Triumph, and New Hope in general is just adorable. Between this and the Adventure Aquarium wedding, OBB is very Philly-centric this week. 🙂 Reply Join the conversation Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
