Jurassic Jamboree: a dinosaur wedding with tacos, T-Rex heels, and a golden claw
The bride at this dinosaur wedding wore amazing gold glitter T-Rex heels that made her feel like an ancient force of nature along with her gigantic King Protea bouquet, crown of succulents, and golden claw. The cake was topped by two gold T-Rexes in a field of succulents and pin cushion proteas. That doesn’t even cover the Cumbia jams, handmade paper flowers, and amazing-looking hurros and cajeta. Don’t miss what happened when a piece of art broke at the reception art gallery space!
Video games and guitars: How to DIY a save the date video
My husband and I saved about $200-300 because we learned how to DIY a save the date video. We thought it would be a waste if people got a paper save the date because most of those go in the garbage (Remember to Recycle). Who wants a koozie with our wedding date on it, anyway (I don’t even want one for myself)? Ultimately, we wanted a video! Here’s how we did it…
Anne Boleyn weds Freddy Krueger: When a Halloween costume wedding wins over every horror fan
We wanted potential guests to know what they were getting into right away and used our invitations to set the tone. They had a photo of us as bride and groom zombies and included a “Costumes Required” section. We had a basket of masks available at the ceremony in case people didn’t take the invitation seriously but our guests outdid themselves. Every single person got behind our theme and showed up in an amazing costume. Despite the instructions to our guests many thought we were going to wear “normal” bride and groom attire. We proved them wrong and got married in our dream Halloween costumes. Anne Boleyn weds Freddy Krueger? Why not?!

If you’ve got a little time on your hands and the bollocks to wig a few folks out (most guests will surely love it!), this is the Halloween save-the-date for you.
Craft a quest adventure game for your reception
If you’re a gamer and want your reception to both celebrate games and give your guests rad ways to interact, this quest adventure game is right up your alley. Rebecca and Greg had a game-themed reception at Level 257, a Pac-Man-themed restaurant, arcade, and bowling alley in Illinois. Because they both rock the gamer life, they created their own specialized game rules, chainmaille and dice favors, and quest scrolls. Let’s see how they pulled it off…
