Wave these wedding yay flags in a madcap fashion to drum up ALL the excitement

We've long been fans of waving around wedding celebration flags and mini wedding yay flags at ceremonies. You can DIY them, buy them in bulk, get them customized to your favorite colors and sayings, and wave them to the sky. Bust out your "hell yeahs," "the cake is a lie," or the catchphrase of your choice and get to celebrating! Here are our favorite ways to wave wildly (with loads you can buy for your own wedding)…

Let's pretend we're sipping vino at this wine country wedding in California

High school sweethearts BriAna and Eric chose a Clos LaChance Winery for their wine country wedding in California. It was a dream with ivy-covered walls, tucked between rolling hills, and overlooking seriously scenic vineyards. Some of the highlights included a Mariachi band, flowers girls hugging and dancing the day away, a flower-covered cake (and SO many stunning flowers in general), parasols, and Serrano pepper salsa favors made from scratch!

An inked, glam, and woodland-meets-industrial wedding at the Carrie Furnaces in Pittsburgh

Heather and Sean's inked style is easy to love, just like their industrial-inspired wedding at an awesome Pittsburgh venue, an abandoned steel mill. Towering 92 feet over the Monongahela River, the Carrie Furnaces are a historical landmark and rare example of pre-World War II iron-making technology.

The flowers are lush, the hair and makeup is immaculate, and the dichotomy of the woodland details in the steel space is the BEST. Look out for the animals masks, flowery shoes, and amazing love…

Woodland creatures, wings, and magic abound at this faery-themed wedding

Amber and Red had a faery-themed wedding which allowed everyone to dress as woodland creatures or costumes of their choosing. It turned a normal wedding day into something truly magical.

Amber and Red met years ago through friends in San Luis Obispo, CA. Although they have now moved to the Pacific Northwest, San Luis Obispo is still one of their favorite places. They held the wedding there to honor it and share their love of the town. You'll want to see the colors, glitter, and magic of this amazing wedding in California…

A destination elopement with Voodoo Doughnuts and Red Rocks

How to keep wedding planning anxiety from stonewalling your excitement

I have been a daughter, an employee, a friend, but the wife role terrified me. My preconceptions of what the wife role entailed crowded my thoughts. Celebrating the journey: wedding readings for a vow renewal ceremony

It's no small feat to make it to the many milestones of marriage. A lot can happen to change you and your relationship and a vow renewal can cement all of that work into a more unified commitment. But how do you address that in your vow renewal ceremony?

This bride altered her original wedding gown for her gorgeous vow renewal

My husband, Anindeep, and I came to our tenth wedding anniversary very much different people than we were so long ago, now personally and emotionally more enriched. We decided a vow renewal was necessary to celebrate ourselves in this new chapter in realizing our individual selves and expressing our togetherness more meaningfully to each other.

Photography (duh) and fashion are priorities for me, so with NO attire budget and exponentially growing dressmaking skills, I suddenly found the confidence to alter my own wedding gown.

How to make antiqued paper for your historical or fantasy wedding

We're getting married next month and having a pirate-themed wedding. Any bits of paper we needed (whether invitations, signs, or treasure-hunt clues) I decided to make look old and pirate-y.

This technique would also be great for medieval, historical, steampunk, fantasy, or Victorian themes. Some of you may have done something like this at school, but this is such a simple yet effective bit of DIY I just had to share it!
