Well, here's a NORTH CAROLINA vendor! So listen up North Carolinians, because Kate Peters Photography recently broke down the reasons that her business gets so much love from the Offbeat Brides in her area.

How do limbs (of both the literal and metaphorical sort) and the honor system figure into her business practices? And why is she so perfect for Offbeat Brides? Read on to learn the reasons, and to take advantage of one of TWO of her special offers…

This is what I imagine owning the rights to your own photos feels like.

1. Freedom!

You get all the rights to all your wedding pictures that she showcases online. (All she asks is that you utilize the honor system, and not sell them.)

You can afford to give this print to every single dude pictured!

2. Accessible!

Kate Peters' wedding photo packages start at $1500 and includes an engagement session, an online proof gallery, 50 press printed (holiday, save the date, or thank you) cards and a 40 page 10×8 modern coffee table album. That's a lot of bang for your buck.

When it comes to photo prints, there are no $100 8×10s up in here. She WILL, however, sell professional-grade photo prints at very reasonable prices — because she knows you deserve to have nice photos and not go broke for them!

Oh, and did we mention her big ol' discounts?

OFFBEAT DISCOUNT: Take advantage of one of Kate Peters' two discounts when you book your wedding with her. Get either 15% off a booked wedding package, or a complementary photo session of your choice when you book any wedding photography package over $2000 for 2012.

Love trees? You'll save a bunch of 'em with Kate Peters Photography.

3. Friendly!

Kate is friendly to offbeat interests in several ways…

Her business went paperless two years ago, and never went back. Contracting, proposals, emails, proofing, ordering — it's all done online in order to be eco-friendly.

On top of being eco-friendly, she's also LGBT-friendly, and happily so.

4. Limbs!

Beyond the fact that this is one of my favorite garter photos ever, I like to look at this photos and yell LIMBS! in my head.

Kate Peters is all about going out on a limb for you. One time, while stuck in traffic with a couple, she got out of the car in the middle of the road so she could take a photo on a grid-locked highway. At another wedding, she extended her vendor duties from photographer to caterer while opening champagne in the buffet line. Point blank — if you need her help with anything (a specific shot or perhaps pouring a shot), she'll make it happen!

But she can't make it happen until YOU make it happen — get fantastic wedding photos AND support one of our non-top-10 market vendors — book Kate and her awesome business practices for your wedding.

  1. Kate is my photographer, and I must say she really put us at ease from the get go. We’ve gotten tons of compliments on our engagement pics, and we’re stoked about the wedding. I feel like Kate’s pics are for “real” people – my fiance and I were just trying to get good photos that captured US. Not look like models. Not get featured in a magazine. Just pictures of us. Without weird faces.

  2. I’m so glad to see stuff like this! I live in the Triangle and it’s no nice to see local photographers featured. Keeping her on my list to keep track of with my impending engagement
