Glide through your wedding day like an athlete #Stuff we love#running#steal-this-idea November 6 | Offbeat Editors offbeatbride Offbeat Bride reader Megan gave us a great tip to keep everything "running smoothly." To save your thighs, your feet, and any other chaffing spots from the road-rash of a big day of celebration, prep like an athlete! Rub on some BodyGlide — the skin lubricant that makes all the bustle less hassle. Here's what Megan had to say: You're likely going to be walking around a lot all day, and it might seem silly, but if you're worried about any kind of chaffing and heat, get some BodyGlide (runners use it) from a sporting goods store. The girls and I all used it and it saved our lives! Alternative: thigh bands! She's not wrong. Megan and Rusty's wedding is full of practical advice along with awesome whimsical inspiration. I wear that stuff for all my long races, but I never thought to wear it for non-running things. Good idea if you're wearing things (especially shoes) that rub in places you're not used to. 4 agree Reply Its also great for long days at theme parks. 🙂 2 agree Reply I haven't had a chance to try this stuff yet-I'm going to have to check it out. What has worked for me in the past is a little deodorant (a tip passed on by a friend's sister who is an Opera singer). I'm a big fan of a some Secret Clinical Strength betwix the thighs. Works like a charm! 3 agree Reply I do this with a little deodorant under the big ladies when I know I'm going to be doing a lot of walking that day, but never thought about my thighs. Although I'm sure my thighs wished I had before! Thanks for the tip! Also, "and going twice as high as the butterfly in the sky." LOVE THIS. 🙂 And now I'm off to sing…. Reply I have huge thighs and live in Texas and I swear by this stuff. If you're wearing a skirt or shorts and are going to be walking or sweating all day it's a godsend. Regular deodorant works too! Reply Haha! It's true! I STILL use this stuff in the summer when I wear dresses and am walking around a lot! Now that I've had a baby, it's also a godsend while pregnant! Reply I totally use this stuff, and it works like a charm for my thundah thighs. Love it. Reply Here's a makeup artist tip… Smash box primer and loads of other very expensive face primers are made of the same ingredients as this stuff. The silicone keeps your foundation put ALL DAY. I used lanocane on my face every day, works like a charm! 1 agrees Reply oh my god, this exists!!?? 2 agree Reply I wear tights or thigh shapers just to save my legs from chafing in skirts…even wore leggings under my wedding dress because my husband said I wasn't allowed to wear the granny pants…wish I had knows this existed!! 1 agrees Reply Join the conversation Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
