Our offbeat wedding at a glance: We only planned the wedding for two months. We just didn't think we could bear 14 months of planning. I bought a long dress which I then had shortened to just below my knees. (One seamstress said it was the biggest mistake I would ever make.) Because of time and money constraints, we did everything ourselves. We had a candy and cookie bar for favors, huge three-foot balloons everywhere, and elephant wooden signs that I made at school. We also love board games, so we decided to make a few easy party games for guests to do. We made a six-sided puzzle, Mad Libs, Trivial Pursuit-style questions, and personalized Fluxx.

A ruby red gown, lots of Scottish influences, and a friend with connections into a favorite photo setting meant a pretty stellar day for this couple. She's theatrical, he brought the tartan — let's get down and line dance! Just watch out for rogue balloon animals. Apparently they get around.

You say you want some geek chic in your life? We're bringing it hardcore with this wedding. Gamers, sword fighters, King Richard VIII, the full Princess Bride ceremony, a D20 that determines who kisses who… it's fantastic. Put your nerd pants on and check out this kick-ass wedding brought to you in the name of all things geek!

These two celebrated their love of lit with book centerpieces, comics and books table numbers, portraits from comic artists, and a giant book card box. They even made origami flowers from comic pages. But to spice things up, they had an awesome swing number for their first dance.

Tim Burton directs the Transformers with a metal soundtrack. Nope, it's not a new movie. It's this amazing shindig that combines lots of influences into one kick-ass party.

This cosplay pair met as pirates and wed as steampunks. The groom nearly didn't make the ceremony, but his mad heel clicking in top hat and tails made up for it.

A live band playing rock classics, leopard print to die for, and a smidge of DIY makes this wedding no ordinary love. Traditional Italian? Nope. Awesome Italian? Hell yes.
