An opulent multi-day HinJew wedding
When we were sent this San Francisco wedding, I was gobsmacked first by its amazingness and second by its enormity! There is so much to absorb here. It was lovingly dubbed by the party as the “HinJew” wedding since bride Ruchira is Indian and groom Dave is Jewish! You have to see all the facets of the multi-day celebration including the performances, the decor, and the insanely huge hora!
Linda & Dave’s pseudo-rustic super stylin’ wedding
Hand-painted signs, vintage stoles, an ultra fashionable wedding party, reception outfit changes, tutus, fascinators, big hair… HEAD ASPLODE! Even the cupcakes are rustically gorgeous in re-purposed cigar boxes. Plus, everyone is killing me with adorable first look photos. Damn mascara running.
Katherine & Matthew’s tornado-threatened mix-and-match wedding
It rained and it poured on this poor outdoor wedding. But love persevered when they decided to get hitched come hell or high water. With the magic of friends and familial labor, an adorable book-filled breakfast room was made into a ceremony space. Along with their classy restaurant reception, it is easy to see even budget and weather can’t ruin a good time. (And don’t miss their son’s cameo at the ceremony!)
Melissa & James’ casual geeky awesomesauce Pi Day wedding
What we have here is a case of awesome wedding with should-I-use-Offbeat-Bride-inspiration guilt. I am totally glad that Melissa decided to embrace what she loves and utilize all of the resources available. Including us! So on this Pi Day of 3/14, join us in reading about a Pi Day wedding full of geekiness, sweetness, and of course, PIES!
Ashley & Alexander’s fun and games geeksplosion wedding
Video games, gaming conventions, board games… you get the idea. These people like to game! Their Skyped-in bridesmaid, hand-screen printed ties, and Skittles toast were the icing on this geektastic cake. Plus, the bride shares some sage advice for those who choose to sew their own wedding gowns.
A queertastic gothic Victorian celebration of love
Corsets, sword canes, cat cupcake toppers, and a stylin’ gender-neutral party of “wing people.” That’s the fun in store with this celebration of throwing caution and gender to the wind. Plus, there’s a heaping helping of gothic Victorian fashion.
