Elly & Nick’s vintage/redneck planned-in-30-days wedding
These two are a hot mess of mixed-up genres and I LOVE IT! A vintage gal rockin’ a retro look and a self-described redneck guy from Alaska roasting a pig in the backyard. And you’re going to love their forest-y mushroom cupcakes, caramel apples, and adorable backyard setup.
Lara & Matt’s mid-summer musical forest wedding
Just a few of the elements of this wedding that I love: the “Just Married” skidder, the pine cone heart, the flash mob belly dance, the accordion accompaniment to the ceremony, the Black Hawk helicopter fly-over, and oh, about a million more things. You might want to check it out to see what I didn’t list.
Lane & Jeff’s eco-conscious upcycled wedding
You know a wedding has made good eco choices when you only end up with a small grocery bag of trash at the end. Add that to the fabulously upcycled dress, DIYed napkins, coffee filter flowers, homemade jam favors, massive potluck (with nine pies!), and an awesome depression-era band, and you’ll love this sweet outdoor, budget party.
Vanessa & Mando’s rose that took 13 years to bloom wedding
Wearing mom’s dress from the ’70s, bearing roses and the look of love, these two celebrated 13 years together by making it official. Add in classic cars, some DIY (program fans and caramel apples!), and a sweet rose theme, and this is an offbeat lite wedding that makes me squee.
Amber & Trey’s nerdy love pop culture wedding
These two couldn’t imagine having a personalized wedding without including what they love: Firefly, Harry Potter, Buffy, and X-Men! Even their newly chosen last name is an homage of a favorite character! And for a couple who is seriously camera-shy, they sure know how to work it!
Stacy & Jeff’s backyard masquerade glam wedding
When life takes away your venue, you take back the party… in your backyard! This couple wanted a kick-ass masquerade ball and they had it… masks, feathers, glam decor and all. The bride also had a network of people who helped them save money and DIY. Crisis averted.
