So, part of the fun of events at Urban Light Studios
is that fact that they have a built-in photo booth. I know, right!? The Offbeat Empire staff decided to warm things up, and then the rest of the night was open to whatever kind of silliness ensued. Silliness that include: amazing hair, burlesque dancers in sexy poses, lightsabers, kisses and kinky cupcake eating.

After months of preparation, this is the weekend I have been waiting for! A solid chunk of my Offbeat Empire staffers are flying in from all over the country today (Superman, Caroline, Little Red Lupine, Tribe mods and K-Redd: you'll be missed!) so that we can all dork out hard at Geek Girl Con this weekend.
Then there's that whole little thing with the Offbeat Empire reception that's happening tonight at Urban Light Studios. YOU GUYS. I don't even know what to say about it! Other than book readings (which don't quite count) this is the first Event with a capitol E that I've ever done, and thanks to Kelli from Shindig Events, it's been a freaking blast.
