Anticipation of the first look

Jason told Brettnee he didn't want her to see his suit until their wedding day last September. Brettnee was planning her own rocking outfit with a leather jacket and a Zac Posen mermaid gown, so fair enough! While their personal aesthetic is a bit different ("Jason's more preppy where I'm more edgy," Brettnee said), the style trust between these two is real. "I knew it was going to be different and sharp."

The man delivered. Check out his slim-fitting, blue plaid suit and bow tie! It's prep, and you can tell: Jason knows he looks good. Damn, they both do!

  1. YES!!! I love this!
I have been considering bringing my pleather jacket along to the wedding in case I get cold later at night, and seeing how awesome this bride looks in hers in these photos has convinced me to go for it! Beautiful!

  2. At first I was like "huh, that's a cool venue." Then I realized it's where my sister got married and is directly across the street from where I'm getting married in one month! Woohoo, Hartford!

Also, her earrings are the coolest thing I've ever seen! Amazing!

  3. oh.mah.gawd. You 2 look so completely amazing! BEYOND amazing! Serious glamor going on there!

  4. Hey, who's the suit designer?! The bride isn't the only person wearing awesome clothes in those pictures!!

  5. :-O

The bride and I have almost the exact same phoenix tattoo. It was the first tat I ever got, so I totally admit I ripped it from the internet almost 10 years ago with some slight alterations (I added red wingtips and changed the bottom of the tailfeathers *slightly*). Also, mine is on my right thigh.

In other news, this wedding looks like it was so much fun. The couple is gorgeous!

  7. I loooove this new trend of grooms in patterned or otherwise super-snazzy suits. Gorgeous couple, and the smiles on their faces during the ceremony melted my heart. 🙂

  8. OMG I am obsessed with this couple! You can just see the love everywhere :). I was over-thinking things when I saw the leather jacket and realized how perfect of a touch to a wedding dress that is! Thanks for sharing these photos
