Remember when Stacey and Joel served mini pies on their wedding day?

I didn't toss my bouquet, wear a garter or “cut the cake” with Joel but we did serve a pie to each guest after dinner which made for a very fun informal alternative to the receiving line. -Stacey

If you love that idea of a pie buffet/receiving line as much as you like the idea of DIYing your wedding desserts, then this is gonna bust your crust:

Comments on DIY mini pies!

  1. I have one of these and I love it! If only I had the same feelings toward dough.

    • I have a little pie maker from a different brand, there are a bunch of them out there. I love mine! In fact, I am making mini peach pies tonight in honor of pie day!

      • I shall send you my address thusly. I’ll take four please. 😉

  2. I totally pinned the personal pie factory this morning in my pi day internet celebration. Yay pi(e)!

  3. I’m seriously considering buying one of these, it’d be great for our wedding or EVERY DAY EVER.

  4. I put one of these on my registry at Target, they have them along with cupcake and donut makers.

  5. I have the other branch which is Babycakes. I have the mini cupcake maker. This post is reminding me that I actually need to go and use it!

  6. Do you think you can make non-dessert pie in this thing, or would it require some precooking of the meat or veggies you’d like to use?

    • I’m guessing, based on the “raw to cooked in under 10 minutes” line above, that you would want to precook most items. The cherry pie filling pictured above is precooked too. A longer cooking time for conventional pies gives the fruits and sugar a chance to gel, but this would not happen in 10 minutes.

  7. I have never seen one of these mini pie makers before. I think my kids would love these (not to mention my husband and I!) I think it was a great idea to serve them at a wedding too. So cute!
