Bohemian Half Moon Bay brunch wedding as seen on @offbeatbride

This stunning boho Half Moon Bay wedding gives us all the feels

Angelica and Brian’s Half Moon Bay wedding had a stunning coastal casual chic wedding with musical influences. The reception was (one of my favorites!) a Sunday brunch wedding featuring chicken and waffles, crab cakes, and spinach florentine benedicts. Don’t miss the embroidery hoops centerpieces, tambourine bouquets, bud vases, flower stands, and even coffee beans as decor. Oh, and the GORGEOUS ceremony backdrop! Instead of champagne toasting flutes, they got personalized beer steins and drank Not For Sale Calf-eine Coffee Milk Stout, a nonprofit that works against human trafficking worldwide. Let’s see the whole delicious and gorgeous event…

tambourine bouquet alternative wedding ideas from Offbeat Wed (formerly Offbeat Bride)

Who needs flowers when tambourine bouquets are a thing?

Have we got a killer wedding coming up later this week for you, but I couldn’t wait to share this one particular detail with you. The bridesmaids had TAMBOURINE BOUQUETS! We love us some non-floral bouquet ideas, and this one is just so rad. Imagine walking down the aisle, gently shaking the tambourines and making such a lovely sound. Guh. Love. The best part? This was a DIY project by the bride and her crew. There’s a whole lot more DIY magic in store when we share the full wedding. Watch this space!

Hunka hunka awesome: a carnival wedding with surprise Elvis officiant

Christina and Michael’s carnival wedding was focused on FUN. There were collections of tin toys, gags, and DIYed flowers decorating the industrial winery venue, Cerruti Cellars. Straw provided tons of carnival-inspired food and a cotton candy maker. Color us jelly and hungry. their community pitched in with a handmade cake topped with a merry-go-round tin toy. Another friend created a funny zine as their program. The funniest moment of all, though, was the surprise performance by the King himself, Elvis Presley, who officiated the ceremony. When you’ve got Elvis, cotton candy, and this gorgeous pair, you’re in for a hunka hunka eye candy. Let’s take a peek at the whole thing.

Wedding music drama-fest? A DJ’s advice on minimizing music stress

After helping over 100 couples curate the music for their weddings, I’ve just about seen it all, including elaborate choreographed Disney princess dance medleys, uncles doing the worm, belly dancers, a Mariah Carey ceremony processional, and even a Backstreet Boys karaoke battle. I’ve worked with couples who’ve kept things easy going and simple, achieved elegant and traditional decadence, or have had full-blown raging parties and everything in between. No matter the overall goal for your wedding, here’s a little wisdom I’ve extracted from being a part of these very special events.
