We're wrapping up our "best of" the new Turtle Love Committee jewelry collections with two of my personal favorite collections…

TLC has an awesome new designer, Chaya Caron – Chaya's blossom series is made from recycled silver, and there are a variety of sizes of pendants, two styles of earrings, and a ring. Would these not be great to wear as your "something new recycled" on your wedding day — hell — to wear on any day really!

Also, have you seen their dinosaurs? Yes, dinosaurs! These bad boys would make really unique gifts for your bridal party AND for your favorite Offbeat Bride Managing Editor as well. (My fav is the brontosaurus, just FYI.)

So there ya go, it's been fun giving you the run down of our favorite of TLC's new jewelry. So now it's your turn to go check out their site and find your favorite pieces.

The offbeat bride: Jaye, musician and event planner

Her offbeat partner: Jeremy, scientist (stem cell research)

Location & date of wedding: Rumball Manor at the Rumball Centre for the Deaf in Toronto, ON Canada — October 5, 2007

What made our wedding offbeat: I had my wedding dress made in green silk and the groom wore a kilt. We had an eco-friendly dessert and cocktail party on a Friday afternoon. There was no bouquet, I had head flowers instead.

The offbeat bride: Nicole, Biologist (and OBT member)

Her offbeat partner: Kyle, Biologist

Location & date of wedding: Africa Picnic Site and Atrium at the Toronto Zoo, in Toronto, Ontario — September 12, 2009

What made our wedding offbeat: My biggest goal was to reduce the environmental impact of our wedding, since that’s something we do in pretty much all aspects of our lives. To this end, we minimized décor (none at the ceremony site) or used upcycled/repurposed components (bouquets, centerpieces) and native wildflowers. Our apparel was either rented, consignment (my dress), already owned or wearable again (bridesmaid dresses, theoretically). We also designed our paper materials to reduce the amount of paper necessary.

Andrea and Pete are combining two different kinds of awesome into one fabulous wedding: they're trying to pay for their low-budget summer 2010 wedding by recycling 400,000 aluminum cans. In a move that it's both uber-eco-friendly as well as budget minded, they're scouring their city of Spokane, WA to find cans to recycle. I cornered Andrea with a few questions about the project, and she told me all about their motivations, goals, and trebuchet bouquet toss…

Andrea, what made you decide to do this?

We've introduced you to Austin wedding photographer Whitney Lee and friends several times, and now we'd like to introduce you to their new lead-shooter-in-training Lindsey Baker. Whitney tells us that she's "kind of a deal" because she's not even up on the website yet.

Lindsey recently captured Kati and Hilal's eco-conscious wedding in San Antonio, Texas, that included a raw vegan dinner for their 300 guests and she did a freaking fantastic job of it. Kati, who rocked her amazing dreads in a super neat-o up-do, had her custom dress made to reflect the Victorian femininity and the "Wild West" of the 1800's but modernized. And it is one amazing creation. And whoamygod her shoes are pretty damn incredible as well.

Check out the rest of Lindsey's photos (including one of the most muy romantical first dance photos EVAR) by heading over to the Whitney Lee Photography blog. And then make sure to book Whitney Lee Photography for your Texas wedding and become your own drool-alicious wedding porn!
