This makes it likelier I'll actually be able to buy things when I get in! Can't wait for the Boston event. 4 agree Reply I went to Lovesick both as a vendor (photobooths) and a bride in years past and it is certifiably awesome. The Philadelphia 2010 (or was it 2011… it was the winter between the two, that's all I remember) was the one I attended as a bride, accompanied by groom. It was somewhat heavy on photographers, but Philly has awesome photographers so it was cool. The raffle/door prizes were great (Himself won us a free engagement photo session). And there was a burlesque performance. And they serve booze at World Cafe. So, yeah – totally non barf-y (as long as you don't over-imbibe!) Reply Oh neat, in the bottom picture you can see me and my fiancee :). I'm in the teal hat and sweater with a collared dress. Needless to say we went to the one in Brooklyn last year and I would recommend it. It was more I guess "offbeat light" – like if you want terrarium centerpieces instead of flowers, stuff like that – rather than catering to stuff I consider a bit more offbeat like themed costume weddings and the like. But I got the sense all the vendors were totally open to stuff like that which was the nice part. No WIC here and you will not freak anyone out if you are having a Nightmare before Christmas costume wedding. And no smarmy consultants will ask you about your princess dreams for your wedding or whatever. Reply No lie: I was totally checking out your awesome outfit when I was writing this. 😉 1 agrees Reply Boston! Yes! 2 agree Reply Dam now if it would only come to Tampa or Miami Reply Nice! I'll be at Arisia that weekend which is less than a mile away from the Boston event. I asked my fiance and he said we can go. Thanks for the heads up! 1 agrees Reply I'll be at Arisia this weekend too, an am loath to leave the con for as long as it would take to really see this event. Too bad! Reply So excited this is finally in Boston! Ariel et al: East Coast Road Trip?! 1 agrees Reply Awesome! I'm wondering if going to the Philly one will be helpful since I'm not actually having my wedding in Philly… any thoughts from anyone who has been before?! Reply yeaaaaaa totally wanting to be a part of something super cool like this. Dallas does not have anything remotely this "large" to work with here. Does anyone have any other additional fun events they are going to like this? I already contacted them to maybe get into another of their future events. Just looks like SO MUCH FUN! Reply We went to the Philly show last year and it was AWESOME. We met two of our vendors there. Even though we have our vendors picked out I almost want to go again just because it was so much fun lol. And for the Philly show peeps there is an upstairs! We almost missed it thinking there was only one floor. Reply We can't wait for the Boston show! Seams Couture is having a Pop-Up-Shop at the event, think of it as a Filene's Basement ROTB thing except the stuff is cool and nobody's being a pushy Bridezilla 😀 1 agrees Reply Join the conversation Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
