Learn more about our ads. I'm loving the smiles in this one… and the barrettes… I want those barrettes. Every once in a while we get a sponsor that, while I'm researching all the things that make them perfect for Offbeat Bride, I get this feeling of "dude, I want to be friends with this person." Allison of Allison Andres Photography is absolutely one of those friend-worthy vendors. Gee, I wonder why… Allison Andres Photography is also featured in our Offbeat Vendors guide! I'm a liberal, tattooed, vegan girl that also loves the color pink, pencil skirts, and fancy nail polish. I love to attend indie rock shows and watch Doctor Who … I also have no shame that I chair-dance to Taylor Swift while working late hours in my home office. While I may have missed out on the opportunity to chair-dance with Allison at my offbeat wedding, you lucky dogs in the Bay Area have a chance to be friends with Allison while she's shooting your offbeat shindig! (And at a discount too!) Let's all get to know Allison through her own words and gorgeous, fun-filled images, and welcome her into the Offbeat Bride fold… The lighting in this one just fills my heart with happy. I want to go to there. Allison started shooting weddings not long before her own wedding in 2010. Being a part of both the vendor and the wedding planning world definitely gives Allison a special edge… To me, photographing a wedding is both "doing a job" and attending a celebration! I'm a big believer that a photographer with both a good eye AND a great personality is a valuable thing to have for your wedding. Can't you just feel the love radiating from this image? It's all sexy love-y eyeballs and sweetness. Wedding photographers are especially awesome when they're in "the game" for the right reasons. Like just absolutely loving what they're shooting… I'm hooked on love. It's so ridiculously cheesy, but being around couples that are crazy about each other turns me into a total sap. I listen to the vows, I dance like crazy while snapping pictures, and I always end up making friends with at least one guest. Ceremony laughs are the best. I love how Allison captured this moment. She's also VERY well versed in the goings-on of offbeat parties, so NOTHING is going to throw this photographer off… I've photographed some amazing offbeat weddings these past two years. I've seen a groom dance down the aisle with a tambourine, a bride and groom seal their vows with a pinky swear, and another surprise their guests with a marching band! I love all celebrations and know that they come in a variety of styles, shapes, and sizes, there's not a "one wedding fits all" formula! I love the styling of this wedding. We did our bit, but at the end of the day she was the one requisitioning sunglasses, making people laugh even though their heels hurt, and patiently tucking my veil into my armpit on a windy San Francisco morning. I can't recommend her photo quality OR her personal presence highly enough. 1 agrees Reply Join the conversation Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
