  1. Yay for the mention!

We’re going the county park route. The ceremony & then buffet, all in the same room without having to travel. Lanterns & not flowers for centerpieces. A mid-day, relaxed party.

    • We’re doing almost the exact same thing. Ceremony/reception at a park, catered by a local BBQ joint, with yarn flower centerpieces and decor from Party City. Oh, and lawn games! 😀

      • I wanted to do lawn games, but the area is all sloped. No good losing the bocce in the lake!

        Good Luck & Congratulations

  2. LOVE this! We went to City Hall, followed by a meal for our 16 guests in a favourite Chinese restaurant, followed by an after party with drinks and cake at our place. Relaxed, casual and very fun. Oh, and I wore jeans!

  3. We were married in Vegas by “Elvis” in front of immediate family and my best friend. Then, we took everyone to a nearby In-N-Out for burgers and cake. It was awesome 🙂

  4. This makes me happy! We rented a summercamp for a weekend long get together. The reception will be super simple with a really casual barbecue.

  5. We are having our ceremony in a chapel built in the 1800s that is now city owned, and then the reception in my parents’ backyard under tents. We’ll be setting everything up a few days prior and having everyone over after the rehearsal dinner to put the final touches on everything. It has taken so much stress off of me planning-wise, even though when it all comes down to it, we’re paying about the same for the tented approach versus a venue.

  6. For my second marriage, we got married in our living room after a two-day engagement! A friend quickly got ordained online and served as officiant, and our kids and two witnesses (close friends) were the only guests. We all went out to a nice dinner afterwards, and told the rest of our family and friends the next day that we were married!
