  1. I have to say, that I wear my hair like this all the time and people LOVE it. Like, total strangers come up to me and ask me how I did my hair like that. So easy and SUCH a big impact!

    • Totally. My friend who taught it to me is half Chinese and she has really thick waist length hair and she does it ALL the time!

    • my hair is also halfway down my back and i just did it really easily.

    • I’d bet longer hair would look great rocking this + pincurls.. you know, like myrna loy in the thin man?

  2. but what about it you have a big head that headbands always slide up and off of?…le sigh

    • This. I can never use thin elastic headbands because they always slide off. The only thing that semi-works is to hairspray the bejesus out of the hair where the headband is going to lay so it has a little bit more texture and isn’t smooth enough to slide off as easy. After that I bobby pin it in. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Dirty-ish hair would probably work better too. If it looks too greasy spray some dry shampoo to get rid of the oils. I live off of dry shampoo and Suave makes a great one and it’s only around $3.50 or so.

    • Headbands ALWAYS slip off my head, but not with this style. I mean, it starts to slip back over the day, but it’s SO easy to take your hair down and re-do it if it slips too far.

  3. This is how I curl my hair! If you tuck the front parts in as well it looks so pretty when you take the headband off. : )

  4. This is freaking amazing. Quick question for those in the know: how short could you go with this style? As in, what is the shortest possible hair length, in your opinion, that could work with this?

  5. This is sinilar to how I do my hair when I want to pincurl the front, but don’t have enough time (read: am too lazy) to do the back. It’s the best compromise for crazy, thick, frizzy hair.

  6. True story: We’re totally using this in the show I’m doing. Looks like OBB, Coco and Megan just earned themselves a spot in the “special thanks” section of the program.
