I guess I'm on a roll with my "special needs" wedding shoes series. After my "bigger shoes" post a couple weeks ago, I got a lot of requests for not just larger sizes — but wider widths. Ok, ladies! I aim to serve, and so I'm wrangling up a collection of loud, proud, wide shoes that would help you add some offbeat oomph to your feet on your wedding day. Most of these are from Torrid, which means they're not only wider widths — they're super affordable. Like, less than $40 affordable! Related Post Wider-calf boots for wedding days (and everydays!) Ariel is letting me pinch-hit in shoe posts this week since I've been knee-deep in boots… and other puns. I've been looking at tall boots... Yeah!! Reply Feel in love with some flats on the torrid site. Thanks for bringing Torrid to my attention! Reply OMG!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! I have ridiculously wide feet and whenever we go to the cute shoe shop I always end up sitting on the couch, looking at all the other girls trying on cute shoes! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! AND…I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR ZEBRA PRINT SHOES!!!!!!!! 3 agree Reply I love these specialty shoe round ups that you come up with. They're absolutely awesome. I know you did the one with flats, but how about heels that aren't stilettos next? I just can't walk in those suckers. Actually, can you just do all my shopping for me? Thanks. 6 agree Reply Yes, please. Lets see some dancin' shoes! Reply The shoes are so beautiful, I'm jealous! Maybe you could do one of these for freaksihly undersized feet like mine sometime? (I'm a narrow 5, my mother is a 4! We'd like wedding shoes that aren't from the kids section!) 1 agrees Reply Totally! I wear a UK 5 1/2 (US 7 1/2) but my feet are narrow and finding any shoes that aren't office wear is near impossible! Finding half sizes is difficult enough :/ Reply Try Cinderella of Boston for small adult shoes Reply Ladies, if you have wide feet but can't find cute shoes don't just suffer through thinking it will only be a couple of hours. TRUST ME! lol I now have several stress fractures in my feet just from my wedding day and it still hurts almost 4 months later. Take care of your feet! Reply And that damage can be chronic, too, if you suffer through on a regular basis – ask my mom about her bunion surgery. 😛 Reply yeah, I have wide feet because of my "bunions" that I've had all my life. It was just extra bone growth in that area and on my ankles. All of my heels are wide except my wedding shoes because I ordered them online and there were no other sizes left when I went to return (already they were big in the lenght as I ordered a size up for width reasons.. so I figured it would just be a couple of hours and I would kick them off.. nope.. didn't happen and now I am learning from my mistake.. doh! lol Reply Perhaps next a post for people without arches… (she said hopefully) 2 agree Reply Or people with really stupidly high arches… 1 agrees Reply Just as a warning, I bought those IronFist Zebra Rainbow heels for my senior prom, and they broke within 15 minutes of me putting them on. Luckily I had my ducktape shoes, since my main dress was ducktape. I returned the broken shoes to Hot Topic, and upon inquiring learned that I was not the only one who had had serious issues with them. IronFist has some incredible designs, but need to do some serious reworking of workmanship. Reply Yeah, as much as I love featuring a post full of $40 shoes (instead of the usual $100-$150 shoes), the simple reality is … cheap shoes are usually cheaply made. :/ Reply in my experience it isnt all iron fist shoes. i have had many over the years and only one has broken on my after i got myself caught in a crack in the concrete… Reply Hmm… I wonder, is it just the zebra rainbow heels, or all Iron Fist pumps? I have a couple of pairs and I haven't had any problems with them breaking. I also have a friend that has at least half a dozen pairs of Iron Fist heels and she's never had any issues either. Reply If it is just the zebra rainbow pumps I would love to know, because I adore IronFist shoes. I just need to know I won't have the same experience if I buy another pair. Reply I have these rainbow zebra's and they are fine. I wore them to a wedding and they worked out well. I HEART them so much Reply These shoes are beautiful!!! But I have the opposite problem. My feet are very narrow, and incredibly small–think Chinese foot-binding and light-up Barney tennies. Any help for a size 5 shoe? 2 agree Reply I'm actually wearing those rainbow Iron Fist ones to my graduation 😀 and I have horribly wide feet, and they're reasonably comfortable considering I never wear heels. Reply *facepalm* DOH! Of course torrid would have awesome shoes, why didn't I think of this? THANKS 😀 1 agrees Reply Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm always on the hunt for pretty wide width shoes and I totally forgot about Torrid. These are seriously awesome! Reply FLUEVOG!!!!! they're not billed as wide shoes, and some of them definitely are not, but if you read the customer reviews on their site you get a good idea of the ones that will work. yea they're on the more expensive side, but they're well made and they'll last for evahh so you definitely get your money's worth. i have fred flintstone feet (read big, wide, and rectangular with the added bonus of high arches), but i tracked down the last pair ANYWHERE of red and pink zazas in my giant size and i could run a friggin marathon in those bitches!!! they've got decent height heel with wicked stability and they're squishy at the ball of your foot. no more days of numbness post fancy shoe wearing! go look, go look! 2 agree Reply I love those rainbow heels from Iron Fist! I think a pair of them would look fantastic covered in rhinestones. I may just have to do that! Reply Join the conversation Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
