Flawless vintage-style wedding hair

It's been a while since we've given you some good hairstyle porn. Well, thanks to Tribe member Mackitten who documented her recent hair trial with the fabulous Nicole, of Beauty by Nicole, we've got a brand new vintage-style hair-do to save to your wedding inspiration folder. It's seriously MAJOR…

Let's start with the back view, so you can really get a feel for all the dreamy vintage-style curls and waves. WOW:

Now, let's get a look at the front with a fabulous view of that hat:

Now here's more views of the hairstyle without the hat, so you can take this shit right to your hairdresser:

And just incase you're interested in seeing what this hairstyle would look like with a fascinator, our darling Mackitten was kind enough to give you a great example of that look as well:

Thank you Mackitten for letting us inspire others to new vintage hairstyle heights with your gorgeous 'do!

  1. More hairstyle porn! Looooooooove it. This is quite the hairdo. Fantastic.

  2. Love it! If you are interested in vintage hairstyles, I just bought the most amazing book called, Vintage Hairstyling: Retro Styles with Step-by-Step Techniques. I got it at my local vintage-rockabilly shop, but you can order it directly from the publisher and Amazon often has a few copies as well.

I am doing my wedding hair from the book, and the awesome part is that it gives you step by step instructions with photos of each step. Plus they obviously did their research.

    • so i'm trying to convince either one of my sisters that that book would be an amazing early birthday present as we're having a ww2 wedding. :] thanks.

      • Thanks for the idea!! I looked at the price and it's a little much for me, BUT, my birthday is coming in in a few… months, lol! I'd love to see a book like this but for fashion!

  4. Yay hair porn! But seriously seriously SERIOUSLY: I am sooo jonesin for some hair porn for naturally curly hair, or thin hair, or (ideally) both!!! Any ladies out there have curly hair?? What the heck are you doin with it?

    • hoppy bunny – my hair is actually naturally wavy/less good curls and I decided on a possibly warm possibly humid day I didn't want to fight with its natural temperament to do whatever it wants :D So we beat it into this LOL

  5. Her hair is AMAZING, but I'm awe struck by the little hat…. Where on earth did you find it?

  6. I will add to the call for more hair porn! I'd love to see what ladies with long, thick hair do, especially vintage styles. I have no idea how to wear it for an outdoor summer wedding without roasting to death but I don't want to cut it either as I love the length.

  7. LOVE this lady's hair!

About thick long hair, I wondered what would do…I have very thick long hair, although it's quite lustrous and healthy etc, I wanted an up-do partly because showing off my neck somehow suited my dress better, but also becayse I'd be far too stressed about frizz if i wore it even half down….My do is a wee bit vintage but overall quite traditional. Sleek and neat at the front a with side parting and I've got a gorgeous pearly comb to wear to one side, It's a low bun made up of little curls. Very pleased with my hairdresser i only showed her a couple of photos but she seemed to know just what I wanted. I thought it might be impossible with my thick hair fingers crossed it lasts all day!
    x.
