You've seen Justine Johnson Photography on Offbeat Bride before in Help! A Nom-Monster Ate Our Wedding!, so you know Justine can hang with the offbeat crowd. Whether it's your wedding, commitment ceremony, civil union, vow renewal, an engagement session, a Rock the Dress session, your ZOMG phenomenal sparkly wedding shoes — Justine Johnson will shoot it, and you will LOVE it.

Justine's based in Maine but regularly travels all over New England and of course she's happy to fly to wherever you may be, so all y'all should keep reading, because she's one damn fine photographer. Oh yeah, and there's that whole discount thing too…

As I mentioned before, Justine is down to travel. She's shot weddings in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and Rhode Island but I hear she's psyched to travel ANYWHERE in the world. Couples who book her for a wedding that requires a plane ride, automatically get full-day coverage AND your choice of a Day Before session or Day After session. That's a sweet deal in anyone's book.

I loved Justine's answer to how her business caters to offbeat brides…

Well, I myself was a bit of an offbeat bride. So I'm always PSYCHED to hear when a wedding couple of mine is doing things that are more outside-the-box. I also have no pre-made tiers or packages for my photography coverage. I am thrilled to work with people one-on-one and figure out a package that fits their specific day and desires. Also, I just plain love nerdy, geeky, weird people. I want weddings with edgy couples; I want people rocking out during the reception; I want lots of vibrant colors and patterns; I want goth and steampunk and nerdy; I want it all! -Justine Johnson

But I mentioned discounts before, didn't I? Yes, Justine is a wealth of offbeat-friendly discounts. She's offering them for, both, last-minute bookings and for weekday weddings (Monday through Friday). Plus there's also this:

OFFBEAT DISCOUNT: If you mention that you found Justine Johnson through Offbeat Bride, she'll take $100 off of your wedding package!

I hope all of you were paying attention like I told you to, because you'd obviously know that your next step is to book Justine Johnson to shoot your wedding, collect your discount, and have a super happy (and beautifully shot) wedding day!

  1. I am lucky enough to have Justine has my photographer for my wedding in two weeks. I found her lurking about Craigslist about 13 months ago and immediately scooped her up. She is just such a rad chick, a hoot to work with and she her online presence is often hilarious. She has been professional when you need professional, fun when you need fun, brilliant when you need brilliant. Of all the wedding folks, she is one I am absolutely most excited about. I wanted her to photograph our second wedding in Colorado too, I was going to fly her out but her date was already booked. Her pricing was beneath her artistry, her work is amazing and she is an incredible human being. Pick Justine. I can't give her a loud enough customer referral. She's incredible.

  4. You know how they say when you find your dress you just "know" that it's your dress? Well, I didn't get that with my dress… which was fine, shopping isn't my forte- but when I first saw Justine's website I knew she was my wedding photographer. When I sent in asking for a quote I kept my fingers crossed as a bride on a budget that we would be able to afford her. I remember getting super bummed when I showed her work to my fiancee and he automatically said she would probably be way out of our price range… but she wasn't. When I heard back from Justine I was immediately psyched to meet her in person and work with her. She is so in tune with her customers- the first thing she wanted to know was how we met!-and so down to earth. she has been awesome through the whole process. I never even considered another photographer. Our wedding is in October and we're lucky to have Justine.
