Embellished flats: so fancy, so comfortable #Wedding Shoes#flats May 13 | Ariel Meadow Stallings offbeatbride This post features offbeat affiliates, meaning that if you buy something featured, you'll be financially supporting this site's mission of bringing awesomeness to readers everywhere. I'm on a roll with wedding flats! Today's little collection of embellished flats are me dipping my toe (HA! foot metaphor!) into the world of wedding flip-flops and sandals. They might not be formal enough for those of you who are having indoor weddings, but for those of you figuring out what to wear so that you can walk around on grass or sand all afternoon (and still be able to dance all night), lemme tell ya: I got some OPTIONS for you here. While lots of these these are indeed casual-ish, many of them have sparkling, glittery embellishments that give them a little glint of sophistication. As always, I went for a range, from $35 affordables to $200 fancy kicks. As I like to do, I also included one pair of WHAT THAT WAS MY ENTIRE CATERING BUDGET shoes, just to see if you can spot the fancy-fance amidst the affordable. Clicky pictures to learn more! The LAST pair I clicked on were the expensive ones! You really can't tell! 3 agree Reply The first ones i picked were the expensive ones. i LOVE that color and have been looking for shoes just like that!!! but alas…the catering has to come first! Reply It's like you read my mind. I've been looking at exactly these kind of shoes. Reply I spotted the fany-fance right off. Cuz I'm awesome. lol And I am definitely lovin' the yellow ones! 1 agrees Reply May I add something? I wore completely knockout Zebracorns for my wedding for two reasons: a) I LOVE them b) My husband is almost 18inches taller than me and it's hard to get both our faces in the same picture unless we're sitting down. And yet, I still took them off in the evening. I'd reached the point where I suspected my little toes would fall off like the docked tail of a cocker spaniel if I kept them on any longer. That was the point at which I wished I'd bought myself some sensible and cute flats too. The moral of this story is: get them, even if you don't think you'll want or need them. Reply The fancy ones were my first click too…so pretty! I would wear those every day forever if I had those. Reply I'm so glad I'm not the only one who wants flats. Future-husband and I are the exact same height, and I like that! As a Literature Nerd, it feels symbolic of our equality in our relationship, and I don't want to screw that up by towering over him on our big day. (Plus, heels are friggin' painful.) Thanks for this post! 1 agrees Reply I tend to highly dislike heels anyways, so I'll be wearing ultra cute shiny blue flats on my wedding day…. Also, those yellow sandals, I just bought a red pair, very similar to them, at Urban Planet, for $18 – very pretty, bright red….not for the wedding, mind you, haha Reply I just wanted to point out the one I loved (OF COURSE); the orange ones, were almost $700.00! That is nuts! Reply Yep, as noted, I included one pair of "THAT WAS MY ENTIRE CATERING BUDGET!" shoes. Reply These aren't embellished, but they are adorable white-ish flats that are on sale and I'd be buying them right now if it were time for me to be buying wedding shoes, so I thought some other Offbeat Brides might like them. Reply I just bought a pair of almost flats for my wedding in July. They have the tiniest kitten heel. I'm still planning on bringing some actual flat (sparkly) flip flops from Old Nay for when I just want to be in comfy-ness. Reply Figures the first pair I pick are the $547.00 ones!
