Crash weddings around the world without leaving your seat

I don't know about you, but I always have the itch to travel, and the photos in the Offbeat Bride Flickr pool aren't helping with my wanderlust…

Nicole and Toby had a blue, black, white, peacock-feathered, sunflower wedding with chocolate and rainbows at the Rose Historic Chapel in New Zealand. (This chapel was damaged in the recent earth quake — strength and fortitude to our Kiwi friends as they work to recover from the quake.) This photo is so damn beautiful — it looks unreal.

Jamie & Sabina, Rhodes, Greece
Photo thanks to Yaggi Photography
Jamie and Sabina got married on a beach in Rhodes, Greece. I love the juxtaposition between their fancy wedding outfits and the swimsuit-clad chicks in the background.

Whitney and Ron ran away to elope on an island in Denmark. You can't seem them in this shot, but Whitney's amazing tattoos are killing me. So scrumptious.

Kate and Mike got married at Cley Windmill: an adorable Bed and Breakfast in England. It was the perfect setting for their vintage wedding.

Jen and her man had a small wedding in Nyali, Coast, Kenya.

Kim & Rob, Musselburgh Beach, 1 Mar 11
After getting married at the registry office, Kim and Rob went for a stroll along Musselburgh Beach in Scotland.

Kimi and her partner's wedding included a mix of Irish traditions and vintage glam. They got married in a gorgeous church in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Pippa and Jeremy rocked their red and black wedding at Roma St. Parklands in Brisbane, Australia.

  1. Stunning selection as always! But a sad note: the chapel in the first wedding (the Rose Chapel) was one of the buildings severely damaged in the heart of Christchurch in the February earthquake.

Kiwis are made of fairly stern stuff – barbed wire and greywacke, I think – and are incredibly resilient, but I think it would be kind to mention the incredibly hard time they're having at the moment.

  2. The 2nd photo looks like a postcard.
    I want said postcard.

    1 agrees
  3. love, love, love Cley windmill, have much adoration for that place and gorgeous photo too you guys.

(…although "outside of London, England" implies to me that it's near London and it soooo isn't. But maybe that's just me.)

    2 agree
    • Yep, Cley Windmill's definitely not London area – it's in Norfolk!

  4. So exciting to see pics of a wedding in Brisbane! I love the Roma Street Parklands.
