Hey, remember when Ariel introduced you to the
White Rabbit Studios — the East Coast photographers of the Offbeat Empire? Stephanie contacted me the other day to geek out over
Sara and Jeremy's Lord of the Rings themed wedding! Check it out.

Sara explained that their wedding "was a shire themed shindig because I, and many other people, refer to my husband as a Hobbit or some variation." But can we talk about groom's gear? Holy crap, that's an awesome outfit. And is that dog wearing a cape? Yup, that's their pomeranian Hansi wearing his fellowship cloak.

And speaking of clothes, Sara has one beautiful
Rivendell Bridal dress and those shoes are rad! They were her something borrowed AND blue and she got from one of her bridesmaids!

This just screams LOTR wedding to me — I mean, it could be a still from one of the movies for Gandalf's sake!

This is one of my favorite pics. The Lord of the Rings book was actually what their officiant held during the ceremony, so that he wasn't just holding a piece of folded paper. And the centerpieces/decorations that you see are just glass vases with sweet gum balls that they picked off Sara's parents trees a few weeks before the wedding!

Oh and there are sooooo many more amazing details and photos, you just have to
head over to White Rabbit Studios' blog to check them all out.

Ahh, this is perfect… just last night I finalized my decision to go ahead with a LotR theme for our wedding. My fiance knew how much the books meant to me as a young adult and proposed to me with a ring taped inside a 50th anniversary edition copy, so it'll just be an awesome continuation of his work

sshhh, don't show this to my husband! I promised to watch all three movies with him before we got married, and in our nearly two-year engagement I never made it through — I was usually asleep before we got out of the Shire!
I did get him an awesome "Lord of the Grooms" groom's cake though, sort of as an apology.

Really lovely. I loved the berry vines twining up the cake. And your husband's outfit. Guys with long hair are sexy. I've seen Rivendell Bridal before, they have such beautiful dresses, but pricey. Congratulations on your beautiful wedding.

Is it bad that I'm eyeballing the groom's footwear more then the bride's? Hella sexy boots that man has on! Wonderful wedding! Happy life!
