Groomsmen fashion inspiration: suspenders & mismatched ties

Offbeat grooms By on July 14, 2010 5

How to dress your groomsmen so they look dapper and yet also like the individuals they are? And how to make your groom stand out? Easy as pie: suspenders, caps and mismatched ties on the gents, with the groom in a vest. Dapper, but casual.

  • I love this because a) this is what my fiance & I origionally planned before he bought an origional 1930s tux and b) because it just looks so damn good. Timeless, one might say!

Love it!!! Suspenders were the hit of the night at my (soon to be) brother in law's wedding.

  • These guys look adorable! My fiance and I are very much into equality all around the board and this applies to our wedding. This wedding is just much his as it is mine. I want him and the groomsmen to be allowed some freedom. The bridesladies are given a specific color and length of dress then allowed to pick their own dress. They are the ones that are paying; I want them to be able to use it again.

Is there any way we can keep unity with the men, but still give them creative freedom? This vintage look would not go over well with the "urban/modern" bunch in our wedding.
