Amazing idea, I'm using them for my vintage Edwardian-themed wedding, what a great idea. Michaels and Hobby Lobby both have a great selection of card stock, on top of that you can make cupcake boxes with coordinating colors so your guests can take a cupcake home as a momento. I found instructions on ehow.com but I don't have a blog to post them. Great idea!

Congrats on a great DIY project! For anyone looking for paper try Tuesday Morning, it's kind of like TJMaxx or Marshalls, mine has a ton of different pretty papers dirt cheap. Plus lots of other scrapbooking stuff. Am off to get some to make some of these for a shower!

Excellent! We are throwing an after-the-fact reception in September (we had a simple courthouse wedding in April with just a few people, and then we went out to dinner and then, the bar!) to which all the far-flung friends and fam will come and party down in our backyard.

Since my geeky love adores all things robots, I will make 1/3 pretty, 1/3 booky (medieval lit scholar) and 1/3 roboty/Godzilla-y!

I think I will have Dan and my stepson make the geeky ones, so they can feel like they're doing things for the party, too!

Has anyone used glue on these rather than tape? I was trying to determine what kind of glue would work best... something tidy and not smelly would be ideal. Glue dots? Glue pen? Or maybe I'll just go with the tape after all...

I recently saw this on DIY Bride and started them for my 7/11 dessert reception wedding. I'm making different but coordinating wrappers to differentiate each flavor of vegan cupcakes I'm baking. Only problem I'm running into & perhaps someone can point me in the right direction-cardstock is too thick to use paper punches (Martha's 3-D cosmos, at least) and I can't find ANY plain scrapbook paper in my desired colors (basically any shade of fushia/hot pink).Pleanty of awesoime designs but no plain to go along with them. I have one more local paper store to try (coincidentally owned by fi's cousin) but if that fails, does anyone know a reasonably priced website? These wrappers work great & compared to buying ($12.99+ for a dozen lazer cut with a similiar design), DIY can't be beat.

I love these wrappers! They'd be great not only for weddings, but for other occasions when you want to be a bit fancy, or just more personal.
