Sponsors: Photographers By on May 14, 2010 4

NonFiction Weddings is a wife-and-husband wedding photography team (willing victims of their own offbeat wedding, nearly fifteen years ago) based in Seattle, Washington. They are dedicated to telling the real, the whole, the hilarious and the beautiful story your wedding. Because, let's be honest, you won't get to see all of your wedding, but NonFiction Weddings will!

You've seen their work once before, but now they're back with a special offer (and some more fabulous wedding porn) for offbeat brides!

The great thing about booking NonFiction Weddings is that their package always includes TWO photographers, which is why they're able to capture the real and entire story of your wedding. So while Amy is capturing the bride multitasking in anticipation of the ceremony…

…Scott is capturing a flower girl going rogue. (HA! That picture kills me.) And their all-day coverage (up to 10 hours) is at a super reasonable price.

"When a wedding couple says to us, 'We are thinking about surprising everyone by putting the picture of our kid's ultrasound portrait on the bottom of the guests' chairs,' or 'There will be one part of the ceremony dedicated to creating a group finger painting,' or, 'The vows? We are going to improv them and then leap, holding hands, from the stone wall we're balanced on into a symbolic salmon river," we know we got a good match." -Amy from NonFiction Weddings

So if ya think that you and NonFiction weddings would be a good match, head over to their website and get them to capture your ENTIRE wedding story from start to finish.

Offbeat Discount:

NonFiction weddings is offering a free engagement portrait session (a $350 value) when you book your wedding through Offbeat Bride. They've even provided you guys with a super secret link to the offer.

  • I just want to give a firsthand account of the fabulousness that is NonFiction Weddings. Every time I look back at the pictures Amy and Scott took of our wedding I am amazed. Amazed by how the colors and scenes of the day pop right off the pages of our album. By how truly grandma the pictures of my grandma are. By how easily the photos bring me straight back to the day, although it was now five years ago. And the best part is, I had no idea they were doing it. Amy and Scott are warm, funny, good people who are just easy to be around and make you feel relaxed and happy. Even while they are photographing you brush layers of excessive hairspray out of your “bride” hairdo, moments before the ceremony.

No kidding. Amy and Scott are the best! Imagine covering a wedding on a dock with 20 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, 10 groomsmen for a first time bride at 60? Never mind the 250 guests many of whom came more than half way round the world (China, Australia, S. Africa)and my family of 50+ and his of about 30+ all of whom we insisted be in one a zillion group phots. They kept their cool, were part of the wonderful happiness and came out with the most amazing photos! I cannot say enough for having a couple. Amy was my rock – a wonderful calming influence in my bedroom as I frantically tried to get ready way too late. The pictures were hilarious and so well captured the spirit of it all. I highly recommend them both. Wonderful people, wonderful shots! As opposed to over-priced 'make-work' wedding planners, great photographers like Scott and Amy are worth ever penny of a wedding price tag!

  • Amy & Scott were the perfect photographers for our wedding. They understood when we said we wanted photos capturing our guests more than portraits of us, they rolled with the many unanticipated mini-ceremonies that family from India introduced, and they tolerated (and captured) our silly dog rolling around in family pictures. Our friends all loved them, and they blended perfectly with our laid-back farm wedding style. We have amazing photos capturing incredible moments and an unforgettable day.

Not to mention that they do really cool work outside of weddings that we find completely inspiring. Book 'em!
