Cat's animal-themed brooch bouquet

April 22 | meggyfin

Remember a while ago when we blew everyone's mind with the bouquet made from vintage brooches and baubles? Well, guess who shot a wedding where the bride carried an animal-themed brooch bouquet!

I did!

The bride, Cat, found all the pieces herself, mostly from Goodwills (she admitted to me that her talents do not lie in the craftiness, but she does have that convenient knack of finding awesome stuff on the cheap). And most of the brooches have special significance to her, especially the animal ones…

Including a parrot in honor of their pet parrot, Eggbert.

...and this fox guy in honor of their other dog, Ollie, who resembles a fox.

The only thing more adorable than this bouquet, is Cat herself.

  1. LOVE IT. I'm in the process of making a brooch bouquet for mine in October, and it's nice to see one of these things actually out in the wild!

  2. Holy crap I love this! STEAL STEAL.

I was trying to think of a good non flower option. This is beautiful and from a distance doesn't look obvious. Animal theme would be perfect for us seeing as I'm an animal sciences major and the boy is awfully attached to his cat.

Did she collect the brooches from antique shops or what?

  3. OMG! I adore it! Did she use flower foam to fasten the brooches? *gapes in awe*
