First Comes Love Weddings presents "Farmer marries Island Priestess in community ritual"
We've shown you Alison from First Comes Love Weddings' work before in "The wedding dress that may change your life" and, thanks to Alison, we'll be bringing you all the juicy details on that wedding soon, but for this post we're featuring photos from Erin and Casey's New York, Buddhist wedding.

Usually I love it when the photographers we feature let me choose which photos of theirs to profile. But this time... it was super difficult! Bay Area wedding photographer First Comes Love Weddings' photos were all so incredible that, at times, it was like Sophie's freaking Choice picking out photos! Damn you Alison!

Keep reading to check out all the painstakingly hand-picked photos, including the first OBB groom in overalls, AND to take advantage of the special offbeat deal from First Comes Love Weddings...
First of all, I'm not sure what I'm in love with more — the brides gorgeous ink or her equally gorgeous ensemble.

This picture kills me. I want to print it out and frame it and worship it daily.

Erin didn't have official bridesmaids or anything, but as far as an "unofficial shot of unofficial bridesmaids" go, this one is a total winner.

"People who are psyched to make photos with me, not just be photographed, are my faves. People who instill creativity in their wedding, are silly and fun are a bonus." -Alison, First Comes Love Weddings
Along with skipping bridesmaids, Erin and Casey skipped everything that that they didn't like about traditional weddings (no walk down the aisle, no wedding party, or language like "Do you take this woman") in favor of a community ritual, with participation from as many of the people that they loved as possible.

They had 100 fresh flower leis flown in from Hawaii to give away during the ceremony as tokens of appreciation for everyones love and support.

Their "community ritual" was officiated by a married couple of Zen priests, teachers of the bride, who we spent alot of time co-crafting the ceremony. They sat on the floor at the altar, along with the officiants and most of their guests.

Their morning wedding concluded with a parade through Soho! Where Alison captured one of my favorite bride and groom photos EVER! But, oh! there are so many more wonderful photos from this wedding. I swear, looking at them is like taking a trip to a day spa.
Offbeat Discount: If you book with First Comes Love Weddings before april 15th, you'll get five free 8x10 prints OR 10% off of your wedding package.

I like how in the photo in the crosswalk, that other person's dog is so ready to leave its owner and go hang with the bride and groom, who are clearly having more fun than anyone else in the immediate area.
And the photo of the bride sitting IS really stunning. Very calm, too, which is a nice idea on a wedding day…
