For those of you upset by the recent RSS change, my webdev and I spent some time this morning working out a solution ...
It took some figuring, but folks using RSS readers should now see the full feed, same as before. Thanks to each of you for your patience as we did the back-end work necessary to get this working.
I knew the RSS change might be unpopular and was fully prepared to lose a few subscribers, but it got to the point where some of you were so bothered that you started finding OTHER changes to be upset about — changes that weren't actually there. From a community moderation/psychology/usability perspective this is a seriously fascinating disgruntled domino effect ... but not really one I'm interested in putting y'all through. 
So now we're back where we started, with full RSS feeds for those of you using readers. Hopefully everyone can take a deep breath, put down the digital pitchforks and torches, and get back to doing what we do best, which is basking in the wedding porn together.
More importantly, let me take this opportunity to thank each of you for being so passionate about Offbeat Bride. It is an honor to have y'all rioting outside my RSS barn, ladies. Seriously.

Hooray! I didn't honestly mind the RSS change because you were very careful with it, but it's so nice to not have to come over here every time I want to just read about someone's wedding without commenting.

This has caused the LJ feed to take over my friends page again, so I'll be unsubscribing from the feed (again). I'm a little disappointed with the change back because I was so excited about it when you announced it originally.

Hey Karen! I've actually got a solution for you!
So, there are actually two feeds now — the short one (that you like) and the long one (that LJ is slurping up). Realistically, there could be a second LJ feed for the short version. I don't have a pro account on LJ so I can't submit the feed to be picked up, but if you (or someone else) does, you can add it! The shortened feed is at VN:F [1.9.13_1145]
