The offbeat bride: Nadine, Tracer

Her offbeat partner: Alex, Industrial Mechanic

Location & date of wedding: Germany, Black forrest, Rottweil, City Hall of Rottweil — 11.12.2009 & 12.12.2009

What made our wedding offbeat: The first thing is that we are offbeat ourselves. We are heavily tattooed on the complete body. When Alex asked me to become his wife we planned to get married five month later. As we both have no money on our site, we decided to create a low-budget wedding. The complete wedding with 150 guests costs under 4000 €.

Night-Shooting

Our wedding was complete done by us. Every single detail was planned and tinkered by me. I looked for bargains every day, bought many things used, and spent all my time for every detail for this wedding.

The bride's gorgeous custom ear plugs.

Second my dress is made by my Mom, she sewed it with the idea of the Grace Kelly dress. And as i saw it — i loved it.

Third is that we are decided to marry in winter. I love snow and the winter, and its kind of borring to marry in the loved month May and April. So we choose December.

The last big offbeat thing is that we ask friends to do special things like photos, play music, help decorate the location, and cook salad or cake for the buffet. Alex's best men is a great hobby photographer and he took all these great pictures. Because Alex played in a Metalcore band for three years, we ask the guitarist of the band to play some nice music for us. And all our friends and family helped to decorate the location and helped to clean it after the big party.

Our biggest challenge: Our biggest challenge was the money.

The rings.

The rings.

Alex is in his apprenticeship to become a Industrial Mechanic and I have been workless for three months.

Everybody told us it couldn't be a great wedding when you didn't have a carriage and a princess dress, and that costs lot's of money. So our biggest challenge was to show everybody what you can do with less money. And in the end it was perfect.

But the biggest challenge was to abide us. Many people told us we have to do it this way or that way. And in the end it was a little fight to do everything like we wanted it.

The Carnevalkings

Of course we feasted with different kinds of people — old and young, freaks and fuddy-duddies. So the party had to be cool for everyone, so we tried to embrace everyone. And the greatest surprise was that everybody feasted together — a big party the whole night.

Shooting

I love this picture of the groom and his boys.

My favorite moment: My favorite moment was when Alex gave me his fealty promise. I looked in his eyes and tears roll around his face. That was the first moment I realized what this wedding meant to him. I think that was the most beautiful feeling I ever had in this moment.

Wedding-High-Five

My offbeat advice: Do your wedding like you want it. Let everybody know you want to do it your way. Listen to your heart and realize the reason for the wedding. Be sure that you both wanted this wedding with every single heartbeat of your body. Than everything will be great.
