Hey guys! So most of you know me as the Managing Editor of this here crazy site. But you may or may not know that I'm also a photographer! And one of the perks of working my butt for Ariel is that she lets me self-promote.
So let the awkward self-promotion begin!
Offbeat Bride has already featured my work for OBT member Ragani's cinematic gala wedding in Oakland, and my friend Alex's Mexi-kitschy forest wedding in Santa Cruz. But what you haven't seen yet is the fabulous and crafty wedding of another OBT member, CaseyB.
Casey and Colin got married in the Temescal Gateway Park in the Santa Monica mountains. The gorgeous setting was a photographer's dream. And all the amazing details are an offbeat bride's porn-a-licious drool-fest.

Casey hand-crafted all of these great fabric roses. She made her beautiful hairpiece and her bouquet out of them. She even made them as lapel pins for the wedding party AND created ones in various colors for the wedding favors. And don't even get me started on her amazing dress…
She resurrected this vintage lace skirt, that she wore to her high school prom, and almost lost in a flood. Then she created that blue sash and found the perfect top and blue flats to go with it. Total wedding outfit perfection.
For the ceremony location she provided these yummy flavored ice waters that not only looked beautiful, but tasted amazing on a warm California day. And everyone loves big paper pom poms! They looked incredible in the outdoor location. See…
I seriously love my job. I'll openly admit that I totally teared up while photographing this ceremony. I felt so lucky to be a part of Casey and Colin's wedding day, as I do with all my couples.
Oh, and what about the beautifuly simple mason jars with flowers? Or the cool reception venue? Or the mismatched bridesmaids? Well, you're just going to have to head over to my site to see the rest of the collection.
Offbeat Bride Discount: Mention OBB and take an additional $100 off my price.
And if you want to book me for YOUR wedding then contact me and take advantage of my ridiculously affordable prices while they last. Oh, and one last thing… I'm totally down to travel!

I would just like to say that Megan's photographic eye is part of why I originally selected her as an Offbeat Intern, and eventually brought her on as Offbeat Bride's Managing Editor. Obviously, photos are a critically important part of Offbeat Bride, and Megan's visual aesthetic felt like a great way to ensure that the site is filled with great photography.
This is all to say that yes, y'all should hire her to shoot your wedding … she's an authority on offbeat wedding porn, that's for sure!

Oh! I know Temescal! I grew up near there and spent many, many afternoons and evenings in those parks. Beautiful wedding in a beautiful location!
