Just a brief interruption in the wedding wonderfulness to bring you this news: Andreas and I are likely having a baby today.
While this is a big huge deal for Andreas and Sassafras and me, it shouldn't have much impact on Offbeat Bride. I've been plotting for ages with Megan & Shrie to ensure a seamless maternity leave. You'll still find two or three posts a day, five days a week. I'll be MIA for a few weeks, and then will likely pop back in as the baby allows for posts here and there through late December. Come January and the dawn of wedding season 2010, I'll be back.
Due to privacy concerns (I've dealt with both stalkers and some remarkably devoted trolls in my 15 years online) I won't be publicly sharing a ton of baby news or photos. Plus, Offbeat Bride is about weddings — not me or my family. That said, if you want, you can watch Offbeat Mama for updates, follow @offbeatariel, or check my flickr account to see what shows up.

All the best to you and your family as you start this next phase of your life. Having four already and currently trying for number five, I can tell you this is the most special time you will have. I can only imagine that awaiting the arrival of your very own little one is like awaiting the most extreme and wonderful present on a birthday or Christmas morning. Soak up every second of it! We are all thrilled for you!
