Arizona based Angelina Rose Photography is a total win for offbeat brides…
First, her images are stunning. With her mix of documentary, artistic, and lifestyle photography Angelina Rose Photography has pretty much got your wedding covered on all angles. And she's got a great eye for capturing those unplanned and silly wedding moments. You know… moments like these and these and whatever's happening here.
Second, she's willing to travel. Angelina is an East Coast girl living on the West Coast, so she's equally comfortable shooting a Connecticut wedding as she is shooting in Arizona.
"I feel that Green weddings are a movement rather than a trend." -Angelina Rose Photography
And third, she's totally eco-conscious! She offers an eco-friendly wedding photography package and, no matter what package you choose, she "gives back" by donating a percentage of your initial deposit towards one of two non-profit organizations.
What more could you ask for in a photographer? How about a special offer to offbeat brides? Well, she's got that covered too! Check it out…

Nice pics. So what exactly is "lifestyle" photography

"Lifestyle photography" is the when you take an everyday sort of activity and recreate it for the purpose of photography. It's usually put to use the most in advertising, like a mother and daughter baking cookies in order to sell an oven. But it's also used a lot in engagement photos, family portrait sessions, etc.

I have enjoyed photography as a hobby for 50+years. I own a Canon 20D and am a Scott Kelby fan. He is a great photoshop expert, yet emphasizes the importance of getting the best possible shot when taking the picture, to make your time in photoshop more enjoyable. The information here is incredible…Thanks a lot…

How is she eco-friendly if she's happy to jet around to shoot your wedding?
Not that I have a problem with shooting destination weddings, but it seems a little self-contradictory to me

Gorgeous photos, but I can't help but think about how an eco-conscious photographer would even shoot Trash The Dress sessions — shouldn't people be more inclined to recycle their dresses? Juuuuuust sayin'…

I agree with the comments about "trashing the dress", I am a huge fan of recyling wedding dresses. I have told many brides that its actually better to reuse the wedding gown rather than to wear it once and then just dump or distroy the gown. Think about that for one momment if you will… about the time people put into making the gown, packing the gown ( carefully ) , the people who put the gowns on hangers and sell them. Or if the gown was made by seamstress or someone you know. The time into making it, and all of that just to trash the gown?? Sometimes trashing the gown wont take the stains out or dirt or even paint on these gowns when someone else can reuse these gowns for their " dream wedding" gowns. Lets face it – wedding dresses arent cheap.
What could someone be thinking when they 'trash the dress'?

The whole 'Trash the Dress' lingo leaves a lot to the imagination of the bride in thinking the dress will actually be trashed. There's been a whole bunch of hype in mistreating gowns and while there are more people who don't care what happens to their dresses, I take great care when a bride wants to do such a session and we don't wind up destroying the dress or getting it really dirty for that matter. Bringing things like a white cloth is useful when the bride leans against something or lays down in a dirty area and its laid down and tucked under the dress once she's in place.
Trashing the Dress is simply putting the dress on again and getting more creative with the shots. She's spent so much money on the dress, it's worth putting on twice and having some extra fun with it!

I love Angelina's "silly" photos, those are the best kind! It's great to capture a moment in which people are having a good laugh and fully enjoying themselves

While I've pretty extensively discussed my opinions on Trash the Dress, I respect that it's up to each bride to have her own opinion about it.
Also, see Angela's response about the issue below.

Fair dos, the dresses in these 'trash the dress' shoots don't actually appear to be getting trashed – but what about travel as a green issue? IMHO office recycling should be a given for any company, and online proofs seem to be increasingly the norm for practical and economic reasons (or at least that seems to be true here in the UK), but any green advantages to these would quickly be wiped out by cross country flights. I would have thought that working locally would an obvious green move.

I absolutely agree. Candids are great and when people don't see a camera pointed at them, they are themselves. I strive to be as unobtrusive as possible through out the day in order to capture these moments of pure bliss and emotion. =)

We are all just a touch guilty about traveling by plane but we also can do our part by offsetting the carbon emissions when we book a flight. Here's a link for more information http://tinyurl.com/ya9kcgc .
The only way to see the world is to travel and planes won't be going away. Whether personal life or business, it would be silly to limit oneself to a particular state especially when they have family planted everywhere else.
I may not fly very much but when I do, I make sure I do what I can by giving a bit extra with the use of this emissions program airlines are now starting to provide for the eco-conscious individuals.
Every little bit helps in some way.

"Wedding porn" is what we call photos of real people's weddings on offbeat bride. You can read about my use of the term "porn" over here: http://offbeatbride.com/2008/10/why-wedding-porn
"Sponsored wedding porn" is what we call photos of real people's weddings that have been submitted by advertisers. (That's also why there's a big ad disclaimer at the top of this page that begins "This business has paid a fee to be listed on offbeatbride.com…") You can read more about how advertising works on Offbeat Bride over here: http://offbeatbride.com/pr
