Dancing down the aisle
Posted by Ariel · Wedding porn

23 Jul 2009

As a rule, I avoid posting wedding memes that are making the rounds elsewhere (this video was on CNN and the couple appeared on Good Morning America and the Today Show, for goodness sake!), but I've received so many dozens of emails about this that I don't think I have any choice.

So I'll wave my little white editorial standards flag in surrender and just say, for those of you who may have missed this elsewhere, here's Jill & Kevin's wonderful dancing wedding entrance video:

If you like people dancing down the aisle, make sure you check out Myshell & Hannibal's wedding, which included TONS of dancing.

This website uses IntenseDebate comments, but they are not currently loaded because either your browser doesn't support JavaScript, or they didn't load fast enough.

Well, I don't read any other wedding blogs, so this is probably the only chance I'd have had to see this. I'm very glad you posted it.

Oh, this particular meme has gone WAY bigger than wedding blogs! It's on digg.com, Metafilter, and most other meme-tracking sites today. :) IT'S HUGE!! :D

Seriously, it's EVERYWHERE. Someone sent me a link where the video was posted on an online marketing and media blog — using the video as a metaphor for "doing the unexpected, surprising your customers by being 'different' and getting great results."

Thank you for posting this! I don't go to many sites, either so I might have missed this. Watching this was so uplifting and exciting!

Love it! I would definitely do something like that. Weddings should be about expressing joy and festivity instead of being somber and serious all the time, and this couple and their friends and families certainly have that figured out.

Awesome, I don't read any other wedding blogs either, and I haven't seen it anywhere else, so thanks!

Their wedding party was HUGE!

Made. Of. Awesome!!! I'm doing something similar, but it will be a wee bit smaller. Thank you, though, for posting it, 'cause this is also the only wedding blog that I read – and I doubt I would have come across it otherwise. It definitely made my night! :-)

SUPER – AWESOMENESS!!! Ariel – you you're my main wedding news source (and I see I'm not alone)….thanks so much for waving the white flag – it was well worth it. I need to go dance now. =)

I love this, but I came back to OBB to find the African American dancing wedding party that was posted on here….last year? Black and pink were the colors? And everyone had their own song as they entered the room? Not to start a "wedding dance battle" up in here, but seeing the above video everywhere made me want to find this other one like right now. :-) I'll keep searching the site— love it so much!

[...] Dancing Down the Aisle: Already featured this, but it deserves a second go.  While I would never consider doing this myself (after all, it is a ceremony, not a theatre production) I still admire these people for their bold attack! [...]

Such a fun idea! But the bride in me is saying, "where did they get those bridesmaids dresses? I need to show this to my ladies!" (;

When the groom walked over to the bride and gave her his arm I thought "awww" , that was funny and sweet and you could tell they are all close.

on the youtube video page the bride says "Our wedding entrance dance to Forever…yeah, forever." I'm assuming she's all "yeah, forever" because the song is by Chris Brown.

Personally, I think that dude (who appears to be the best man?) choreographed the whole thing! He's clearly the most skilled dancer and also the most into it. Love him!

I thought this video was awesome and the people involved were so fun-spirited it truly made the viewers excited to watch. Although now future wedding parties that do something like this may be received with copy-cat comments-which is a bit disappointing for others who planned to do something like this only now to be following some internet meme fad.
