Announcing the birth of our sister site: Offbeat Mama!

Stasha & Rob's Vintage Goth Wedding with Bubbles

Fun Offbeat Fact: Stasha's brother-in-law Dave Tusk's wedding was previously profiled on Offbeat Bride. I'm sure most all of you will remember Lucifire & Dave Tusks bright red circus wedding! As Stasha put it, "We're just one big freaky family!"

The Offbeat Bride: Stasha, Gal Friday

Her Offbeat Partner: Rob, Student

Location & date of wedding: City Center, Redwood City, California — July 23, 2008

What made our wedding offbeat: We didn't stick with many traditions at all and, with the help and contributions of our friends, we did the entire thing for under $600 (and that includes our clothes)!

I'm addicted to taking pictures and having them everywhere so I had my friend who does more traditional photos take pictures as well as my friend who is really into artsy photos. We ended up with some of the most beautiful shots.

We also decided that we would just have everyone walk two blocks from the courthouse to the courthouse square where we had a lovely picnic catered by a good friend of ours who just happens to be a chef.

We both love bubbles so we had a lot of fun blowing bubbles with everyone at the reception. And, in true us fashion, we kicked off our shoes and hopped in the fountain because it was such a hot day!

There are so many awesome details in this photo -- the underskirt, the garters, the groom's shoes, the bride's shoes, etc.

There are so many awesome details in this photo -- the dress, the underskirt, fishnets, the groom's shoes, the bride's shoes, etc.

Our biggest challenge: We not only reside in two different countries but my family lives out in the midwest. Our families were a little bit upset that they couldn't actually attend our wedding so we paid the city an extra $35 to broadcast our wedding via webcam, live!

My favorite moment:
When all of my girlfriends and I jumped into the fountain to cool off.

My advice for other offbeat brides:
If a friend wants to help you, trust them to do right by you, and just let it go. In the end you are going to be married to this person you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Enough talk — show me the wedding porn!

It is a reworked design from ReVamp based out of Los Angeles. She usually does this dress in a different color and with different petticoats. I just asked for exactly what I wanted.

You look like you had a really fun day! I am going to do bubbles as well, lots of them… well, so much for my "unique" idea. ;)
Congrats on your beautiful wedding!

Looks like so much fun! She reminds me of Liv Tyler a bit, and therefore is equally as lovely. And I love the groom's shoes. Awesome.

I wanted to be comfortable and also I didn't want to be taller then my hubby in every picture. We are exactly the same height.

When I inquired about "flame" I was told it was a very long story and it would be told to me shortly. I'm very intrigued. Raymond is my best friend and he did more then his fair share of work to help us pull this off. Of course my man Joreth totally rocked it out by surprising us with a cake (we didn't plan to have one). He hadn't made a wedding cake since his own wedding. He also busted out all the food, tablecloths, and other yummy goodness. He is a chef though and he just can't help myself.

What a fantastic dress! And I remain a great fan of striped petticoats.

Those are killer shoes on the groom, too.

They are made by Stacy Adams http://www.stacyadams.com/shop-sa/index.ep
I doubt that you can find them online though because they are made exclusively for http://www.zootsuitstore.com/ in San Francisco. Although you may be able to get Siegels to ship them to you.
