You've seen the breakdancing/broom jumping awesomeness from this wedding before, now get the whole story…

The Offbeat Bride: LaSherra, Mission Support Assistant (aka. OBT member Butterbean.)
Her Offbeat Partner: Brandon, Logistics Specialist
Location & date of wedding: Backyard of Spring Park Center, Texas — March 21, 2009

Breakdancing.
Our biggest challenge: With a spring themed wedding, I was ready to have flowers galore! But I had no idea that a real bouquet would cost so much. So I turned to Ebay and found a few sellers that made luscious silk arrangements for the entire bridal party for a fraction of the price of real flowers.
We also had to scramble to create "flower baskets" for my flower girls since I had left the store-bought stuff at home. One of my bridesmaids grabbed some tissue paper from our goody bags, some plastic cups, and a few stray silk flower buds. They made for the ugliest, but the most charming baskets. HAHA I was very thankful for her help and that memory.
My favorite moment: There were a few people in my family with well known problems going on in their lives. They could have just stayed home, or came to the wedding with a "dark cloud" hanging over them.
My advice for other offbeat brides: Try not to listen to anyone that suggest "No Ring, No Bring" when it comes to the guest list. I know that some situations are different than others, but let the single people bring someone if it's going to make them feel more comfortable. The guest count to food ratio will always work itself out in the end.
One more thing; do not waste your time with a seating chart and don't feel obligated to have a head table or a "sweetheart table." We were just fine sitting amongst friends. However, do put on your comfortable shoes and visit EVERY table.Care to share a few vendor/shopping links?: I have to thank my DJ, my ceremony guitarist, and my dancers for providing the best entertainment that most of my guests have ever seen at any wedding they had attended *from what they have told me.*
- My DJ was CJ Spencer
- The jazz guitarist that I had found from Myspace and made my daddy eat his words can be found here.
- Last but not least, my talented dancers can be contacted here.

What a fantastic wedding! Can I borrow your flower girls?
I agree with tossing the no ring no bring rule out the window. I have kind of a funny story on that and seating charts. My fiance and I have been dating for over six years now, and we were both seated at a singles table for a wedding! We weren't engaged yet though, but really?!

I second the love for the colors. The greens look so gorgeous – the perfect shade for an outdoor springtime wedding. And that is one epic cake, by the way.

I love the reception scene — the open park environment, the lovely green tables, and the dance floor.
Fiance and I are going to play lots of 60's-90's R&B and hip-hop at the reception. Breakdancers would be so awesome!

Thanks everyone for your compliments!! It's pretty cool having my wedding featured here.
BTW, Rosa, I found my cake topper on Ebay. If you pull a search for "whimsical cake topper" on Ebay or even Google, that topper will pop up first thing. hehe
THanks again for the love!

The cake topper is great and that dress just can't get any cuter.
I've never even heard of the "No Ring, No Bring" rule. We're inviting all significant others and I guess I've been lucky that my non-husband has been on every invite I've received.

Oh, and I have also never heard of the "no ring, no bring" rule, but it sounds like it sucks!
