Anna ZatopekYou will know immediately if this is the sort of thing that interests you. Are you planning a retro-tinged wedding? Are you in Texas? Do you tend toward a little bit rockabilly and a little bit vintage?

…Then the idea of pin-up wedding portraits from Austin wedding photographer Anna Zatopek is sooooo up your alley.

Anna Zatopek is a wedding, portrait, pin-up and boudoir photographer in Austin, TX who specializes in doing Bridal Pin-Up sessions instead of the traditional bridal portrait sessions.

"The sessions are tastefully done to mimic the style of the vintage pin-up girl," Anna explained to me. "We provide props, accessories, gorgeous backgrounds and period hair and make up by the fabulous Cameo of Cameo's Atomic Hair Salon."

Anna's pin-up sessions include 30 – 40 images of the bride in different outfits and poses and come with an 8 x 8 book of images to give as a gift. More importantly, if this is your style … doing a pin-up session is crazy fun.

Anna's wedding prices start at $2200 and include two photographers, a pin-up, boudoir, engagement or traditional bridal session, private online gallery of both the wedding and the portrait session, an archive disc of all images, and a coffee table book of the wedding day designed by the photographer.

If Anna's not shooting your wedding, she can do a pin-up session with you to give as a gift to your partner. Individual sessions are $350.

Hey! Thanks for all the really lovely words! I'm blushing! And Ariel is right. I do travel. I do have to make an adjustment to the price though to bring Cameo and an assistant with me. Call or email me to discuss.
Oh, and you do not have to be getting married to do one of these!!!

I live in Dallas and am going to Austin this weekend to do this shoot with Anna. Let me tell you, she has been wonderful so far and I haven't even gotten to meet her face to face yet. But I am on the lookout for a wedding photographer if anyone here knows of anyone close to the Dallas area. I am paying for my wedding on my own, so obviously, am on a budget. But our theme is 50s vintage and I just really have been looking for someone who knows the time and culture so that pictures turn out just right. If anyone knows, please please let me know! jjplummer31@yahoo.com

Thanks so much and I'll post pics of my shoot once we get back!

Got the pictures back from Anna and OMG they are beautiful! Everyone who is considering doing this shoot really should just go for it! It was such a blast and the pictures came out wonderful. Cameo is an amazing hair/makeup sytlist and just really makes you look the part…I am just in love with these pictures. To see some of them, go to Anna's blog at http://www.annazatopek.com/blog and she has them posted there.
