Seattle hot hair giveaway from VAIN

Sponsors By on March 27, 2009 68 Responses

hairpoisonbridal_11Attention Seattle ladies! I'm cosponsoring a hot hair give-away with my beloved hair salon, VAIN.

Yes, I'm a total whore for them: they've been doing my hair since 2001 when I cut off my dreadlocks with a pair of fingernail scissors and went limping in afterwards looking like an escapee from the Home For Mentally Deranged Pixies. They produce the best hair blog in Seattle. They invented my pink braids.

Anyway, enough about me. VAIN of course rocks the wedding hair, and if you're in Seattle, you definitely want to win this bridal package.

WIN THIS STUFF FROM VAIN & OFFBEAT BRIDE:

  1. Bridal updo at VAIN downtown ($75 value)
  2. Wedding waxing (brows, bikini, whatever you want) with VAIN's waxing queen Belinda in the private waxing studio above VAIN downtown ($75 value)
  3. Custom "Hair Poison" bridal headpiece by Sweet Revenge, aka VAIN stylist Kelly (pictured above!), who donates a portion of Sweet Revenge proceeds to the National Cervical Cancer Coalition — she's a survivor. ($100 value)
  4. Awesome "Altar your thinking" Offbeat Bride tshirt.

For rules, how to enter, and pictures of Hair Poison headpieces from my hot ladyfriends at VAIN, keep reading.

Rules & How to enter

  • You must be in the Puget Sound area to win. (Or willing to get yourself here!)

    Oohoohooh! Me want! Me want!

I looooooooooooooooove Vain. When I wore my hair short, they were the ONLY ones I trusted with it. When I need an awesome dye job, they are the ONLY ones I trust with it. When I was growing my hair out from a pixie, they were the ONLY ones I trusted to make me look presentable– but I didn't look just presentable: I LOOKED AWESOME. In fact, it wasn't just a good growing-out/in-between cut… It was one of the best haircuts I've ever had!

Alas, I can't afford to go to Vain on my social worker/student income very often, but I would KILL to get the full bridal treatment from the cool kids over at Vain.

After looking through the photos, I'm so impressed!!!
So gorgeous and unique, I love it.
    *fingers crossed*

  • I long to have VAIN hair, especially for my wedding! I drool over the blog and marvel at the people that lovingly gush over their stylist.

I've never done anything really spectacular with my hair, but I've always wanted to.

I hope to be the lucky one who gets to be dazzling. Thanks for the opportunity to enter this contest!

  • I heart VAIN! They're the only stylists in Seattle I trust to cut my ridiculously curly hair. I'm getting married in July on a very small budget and have been debating whether or not I can afford to splurge and have them do my hair. This would be amazing!

Oh I can relate Samantha B! Social worker/student money doesn't allow for many splurges. Man, I'd love to get myself done up right by VAIN for the big day.

Count me in – I love Vain! They do such pretty things… and I'm a poor habitat restoration intern with hair that needs some attention.

Is this? Could this possibly be? Nope. I'm asleep. This is a dream and I'm going to wake up and be desperately disappointed. I hope this is real though, at least for someone, because this is epic.

  • What a sweet possibility!
I'm getting married in July and the hair conundrum has yet to be figured out….
I would love the opportunity to be a Vain Bridal Goddess!

  • ;) Never been to VAIN. But definately admire it from the streets of Seattle… Neat, practical prize.

  • My favorite salon EVER! I have been going to Vain since I moved to Seattle my freshmen year in college. The colorful rock and roll yet chic atmosphere and wonderful stylists keep bringing me back. Kelly is so rad… she did my "Little Mermaid" extensions a few months ago and they turned out awesome. I HEART VAIN. Make me an Offbeat Vain Bride please!!

  • Great! I don't currently live in Seattle but I am getting married there this summer. I would love to win this and get to know Vain. Someday I plan to move back.

  • Can I get from Victoria to Seattle and back the morning of my wedding August 1st??:) Probably not, but I wish I could!! Ah-mazing blog and hairpieces. Sorry for clogging up the comments with an inelegible contestant! Just had to comment..heheh.

  • You mean I could actually go IN to the salon, rather than drooling at it's awesomeness while I walk by?! What a dream come true!

  • Oh gosh, wedding waxing? Bridal updos? YES, me please!!! How wonderful. I live in Seattle and would love, love to receive this package! What a great package to offer! Thank you for the consideration!

I would LOVE to win this package. I just got sacked with the news that my venue (and caterer) double booked my day (August 2, 09!) and i'm out of a venue and caterer and starting from scratch! Super amazing hair would help tremendously when my guests are standing in the street eating that delicious hot dogs with cream cheese from the late-night street vendors as we get married…actually…maybe not such a bad idea?

Great prize idea! Now there's a chance I won't have to worry about doing my own hair.
