I am an Auckland, New Zealand OBB and am thinking of asking my three brideswomen to just pick a dress they like (maybe within a colour scheme…?) Her offbeat partner: Francesco, Aerospace Engineer Location & date of wedding: Dancing Horse Ranch in Paso Robles, Ca. What made our wedding offbeat: Our wedding theme was Steampunk (with a subtheme of Make New Friends!), our friend Kat officiated our wedding and we wrote our own ceremony. Also all of our "vendors" were friends! My make-up artist, the photographers, the DJ, the caterers — we all knew them and it seemed like there were no strangers at our wedding. It was wonderful to see everyone bringing their skills together to help out and contribute. Our wedding was much more about having fun than having rituals. I think that everyone there had a great time! Continue reading "Chelsie & Francesco's steampunk wedding" →

Her offbeat partner: Dustin, Undergraduate Student SIU Location & date of wedding: Centenary Methodist and Hamilton's Catering Jacksonville IL. March 07, 2008 What made our wedding offbeat: For the wedding ceremony, we stuck with the tradition of a Christian church — but my brother Luke McQuillan, a local musician, played video game music including the Zelda Overland Theme for my bridal march. In addition I drew up a comic strip for the program. My friend Leslie Galloway made the dress which was a design we worked out together.
