Ok, so my photo collection for GroomsOnSwings.com has had only one photo …
Photo credit: Bethany ObrechtMy comedian/pundit friend Baratunde and his singer/songerwriter bride Mieka were married this summer in Lenox, MA. Baratunde told me, "It was one of the best days of my life … along with the day Obama won and the day I got my first Transformers action figure."

"My wife jokingly referred to me as 'the bride' because I was way more involved in the planning than she was. I insisted on local food, found the photographers and planned the music. Mieka was like, 'tell me where to be, and I'm there … as long as there's wine.'"

Baratunde's cotton suit was designed by John Varvatos and he says, "No lie, I first went suit shopping two weeks before the wedding. Picked up the suit one week before. I like leaving things to chance, I guess, but the suit was worth the last-minute drama."
Baratunde and Mieka are headed off on their cross-country road trip honeymoon today. Congrats, you crazy kids!

I ran across this post and very excited because I am a big fan of Mieka! Her music is wonderful, so glad to see she's got such an adorable husband and was a beautiful bride!
