Belinda & Stu's Hot Pink & Black Wedding!

Real Weddings: Global By on September 23, 2008 26

The offbeat bride: Belinda, Makeup Artist & Singer

Her offbeat partner: Stu, Manager & Singer

Location & date of wedding: Fitzroy Gardens Melbourne, Australia - April 19th, 2008

What made our wedding offbeat: Hot pink was a central color palette… my bridesmaids wore black with hot pink heels and my flowers were hot pink and blood red, fixed together with a thick black and white striped ribbon. The contrasting colours looked awesome! We also had bright orange and gold Chevy Impalas, complete with hydraulics!

We had an all singing reception because we are both singers and all of our friends are as well. We also got up and sang a song for everyone, which was really personal and made everybody's night!

Our biggest challenge: Our biggest challenge was getting past our nerves. We couldn't sleep two nights before the wedding, worrying about this and that and dying from excitement!

My favorite moment: My favourite moment was seeing Stu for the first time on our wedding day. He was so nervous and excited and he looked so handsome and I was so proud to know in a few minutes he would be my husband forever.

My offbeat advice: Pay for and book eveything you can well before your wedding day. Then the day can unfold naturally.

Enough talk — show me the wedding porn: Click the photo below to see lots of shots from Belinda & Stu's darkly traditional and color coordinated (!) wedding!
